Windows has been loaded.
Starting tests now, being kinda agressive with this chip. It priming right now at 2700Mhz (9x300 3xHT) Stock Volts. And Passing so far.
This Abit KN8 SLI is tending to overvolt a bit, its reading 1.376 load in windows.
I don't know how accurate it is, however with an XP-90 the CPU is reading 36c full load on software, I'm estimating that is really 6-8c higher.
Thats it, be very aggressive! Go straight to 3000/1.4v ;)

I would have, but from what I have heard these Abit KN8-SLIs crap out at 315-320 HTT. Its a budget board afterall that I picked up for $90 for my wife's new system. Im replacing her old Dell 8300 (P4 3.0Ghz/1GB/9800Pro) I just wanted to see if the chip was even worthy of breaking down my main system to install it. It seems to be.Quote:

hey friends, my name is Fernando and I am from Brazil, so I can't buy a processor and if it overclocks badly just sell it out and buy a new one. I have a venice 3200+ that does 2,7ghz with 1,5 volts, and now I'm thinking in buying a 2 cores opteron, probably the 165. So, I was almost buying one from monarch with that 67 USD discount, hopping that it would do at least 2,7ghz stock, making it worth the trade for my venice, but now reading the last 2 days posts it seems that people are getting bad 165 overclockers from monarch... so what would you recommend me? both OEM and Retail are doing bad from monarch? Thanks very much.

First boot, tried 312x9 stock vcore, loaded windows but BSOD at the desktop. So now priming at 307x9 stock vcore, 5 tests done :) Glad I missed the 0551's.
