ok i understand now. when in auto it takes it up itself. you need to go into the setting as i just talked about and it has a setting in there that has your memory multiplyers. select 2.0 and you will be good to go... i should have said that in the first place....
im gonna shut mine down go into bios and find the exact things you need to change. so youknow what im saying i know im not useing the correct terms you need to know...lol brb
cincyrob with a vid that low you should be able to get to 4.1-4.2 on air as long as you can control the temps..
Ya I have the memory multiplier set to 2.0 now, that's why I got 9x370 to work and my current test of 9x375 is good so far, but I meant what should I do with memory timings (5-4-4-12), leave auto or manual?Quote:

this should get you in the right direction. once you set the mem to manual you can set it to 4-4-4-12 each has its own box to work in. you should be good to go with it there..
oh yea 3.33ghz isnt a bad OC.. its not as xtreme as the site implies...lolbut neather is my 3.6ghz
I hear you all talking about Vdrop and Vdroop...i tested my CPU without PLL / FSB Termination and LLC, same thing...the idle Vcore and the load Vcore it's not chaging....

Bios: 1.4375
Idle: 1.408
Load: 1.408 (I think due to LLC)

If I understand correctly Prime's Small FTT is for testing CPU, and Blend for memory and system. If so, if Prime Blend fails it's doesn't have to be problem in vCore, because there can be problems with memory settings or CPU FSB voltage or nForce SPP voltage, right?
Since I manage to pass 12 hours of Prime with CPU FSB 1.2V, nForce SPP 1.4V, memory on 2.0V with 4-4-4-12 at 900 MHz, I'm currently running Small FTT+s to find stable vCore for my CPU. If my CPU passes 12 hours of prime, then I run blend to see if my system is stable?
Please, answer my questions.
Small FTT stresses more CPU, Long/Blend stresses RAM and chipset more due to increased memory/chipset bandwidth/requests. With small TFF's there is less data to be transfered.

If Prime95 stopped working (the program actually closes and a Windows prompt lets me know), is that a sign of unstability or just a software glitch?
If it's unstable then it means my OC tops at 3.33GHz with 1.225V Bios / 1.184V CPU-Z
It is. Occt will most definately fail after around 2-5 minutes if Prime throws an illegal error or whatever it's called.
I'm afraid I'm not by my computer for another two weeks, on holiday abroad. I remember some settings came up, they weren't very useful though in my eyes. If I'm not mistaken, they had something to do with the voltage, but were somehow the reverse of the standard settings.Quote:

With VID 1.2250V, what is causing my instability in small FFT? I guess things aren't too bad, but it bums me out that my VID is so high and I can't OC too much. It makes me almost regret not getting the G0 step Q6600 for a tad more money, but then I think about how I could've ended up with a bad OC'ing Q6600 and how much worse low clockspeed is for games, and it provides some comfort.

I can get the computer stable at 400FSB with 1,21v, but more the 420 it just freezes even aplying 1.25v. Can it be from the other voltages? I have the rest on auto when trying to go more then 400 FSB.

bios=1.233
cpu-z=1.34v
then under load it dropped more. 1.28v

Zlokack you have a rampage formula x38? is it performance and BIos almoast like my x48? If so could you post your settings on a safe daily use overclock?
