Thats quite cool, but i only talked about the "3000MHz with stock volts" argument, and i never wanted to criticize your CPU. Its very nice :)
starostise: could you test the stability with Prime95? Really nice you habe there..is it with IHS on it?
why using prime95 instead of sp2004?Quote:

But I'm going for High End watercooling now.
Damn... I discovered Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro was better than Zalman after having bought it :(.Quote:

Hey Im new to the forums, I saw this thread and became interested so I joined.
Well I must have got a really crappy one. I cant get it to boot past 2.7ghz even with 1.55 volts. I have crappy memory and have to run a big divider so dont look at the superpi time. Any ideas on why mine willn't even get by 2.7ghz?

Wow, CPUz is reporting that voltage very very wrong.. I'd say try a new bios..
As far as my chip goes, it's kind've bum as well, KABYE 0536 GPMW.. It's volt hungry for sure..

then again... CPU-Z is for sure reading it wrong... so like haveblue said i should update your BIOS!
Yeah cpu-z is definitly reading it wrong. If you look at myguard that shows the real voltage. I will go see if there is a updated BIOS though
yeah those arn't bad clocks the 3ghz on air ones are just amazing.
haveblue, you need to be at 3ghz to get 29sec superPi 1m? theres something seriously wrong there whats your ram actually running at?
/Ed
Ram's divided down to run at (near) stock.. 408mhz I think it was. Timings are 3-3-3-8.. it's just cheap generic stuff.Quote:

Just from a local guy, not sure where he got it. Traded my 3800+ for it.. I don't regret it. lol :)
It's not really stable at 3.0ghz though.. made it through 3dMark05 the other day, but that was with the windows open to the cold Canadian winter.. nothing special for results though..
Must........resist.......buying.....3700+
Me and my pokey 3000+ at 2400mhz :(
very impressive.
so much for people being crazy about opties..
this beats the crap out of them.
