Has anyone tried 3D benchin in windows 64bit? Or would that not matter whatsoever and I am a complete newb. I don't know if x64 is more stable for overclocking or not, just a shower thought
Actually Mike its less overclock friendly.....You actually have to clock down to get stable in 64bit. I have not run it myself, but have helped customers that can't clock the way they used to in 32bit.
BTW my earlier SS of 272 with 3D01...I forgot A64 tweaker...so here is 3D03 at 272 with A64 tweaker open :)

not sure if I posted this yet, but here is 3d stable at 270x10. Don't mind the score as my vid card is not tweaked for this run. Just proving the clocks.
Mikal, my bench is @ windows 64 bits. This is the reason my CPU could not handle my 285 superpi stable. Check right bottom of picture.Quote:

I just memtested in windows two instances using 800 and got to about 2700% on each just to make sure my system is stable at 250x10 (Was worried about my mem controller due to my last RMA) And 3D03/05 is fine, and my SI-120 came in yesterday
Radelon, I just remembered how you said you figured your ram out, how exactly did you do this (or what setting it was), just want to get some ideas for when I dive in :)
After two weeks I have to RMA my pairs of OCZ PC4000 EB Platinum.
I have been running theme at HHT 255 3-3-2-7 @ 2,65v. 1T 100% stable.
*Running theme on my AMD system, not on the intel, (sig.)
It all started yesterday with random bluescreens running BF2. After some minutes I couldn`t get into windows.
Memtest gave me 15 000 errors, even at default speeds. It sucks
What test numbers are the errors in Nightprowler?
The first one, 5 and 8.
Interesting, mine were in 2,3,4 and 6 if i can remember right, before RMAing
Edit:
Ok I am in the process of overclocking, I am at 260HTT and when I boot, the graphic drivers do not load... I am on the same reso, but the monitor position has been reset and under display properties it says [Default Monitor] on nothing. When rebooting I get a BSOD that says Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_or_Equal for usbohci.sys
I heard from some forum that switching the USB jumpers from 1-2 to 2-3 will help with USB issues, or is this issue from my ram?
Edit:
2.7 seemed to help it :toast:
But now, when I 3DM03, oh it runs, but it is LAGGY AS HELL, it'll show a frame, freeze then show another x amount of time later, any help?
Edit2:
Wow I am having ISSUES 255HTT is unstable 3D, I don't get how everyone can rip 280 like nothing with settings on auto and I can't even get past 255, I wish I had another CPU
i just got these sticks in today, and so far am very disappointed. They will run at stock speeds of 250 3-3-2-8 1T, but no matter what i do i cant get them game stable at 260. I feel like i have tried everything, but cant get em to be happy yet...
Update: They are stable at 255 it seems. Geez, all i need out of em is 260 to get back to my old OC!
Budwise, please pm me with your bios (dram and genie) settings including what bios you use at 250.

i hope i dont end up regretting selling my Ballistix...
this is at 255

Lower the vcore and cpu speed when testing.
gave those settings a go and put my CPU down to 1.35Vcore and 8X multi, and still got the same problems. Gaming just goes to hell and i get freezes in the main menu of FEAR.Quote:

Any chance you have a non-x2 cpu to test with?
nope... But my X2 handled 2X1GB Ballistix at 260 without issues... I got these for the tighter timings.Quote:

Well, they won't do much tighter than the ballistix you had..trp at 2..that's about it. Cas 2.5 up to 240 or so. Email me and we will sort it out for you :)
email in your inbox...Quote:

Looks like its RMA time...
I have the same problem. Looks like there is certain compatibility issues with X2s and these modules. No particular pattern yet, but a few of us with X2s cant get high clocks with this ram. I havent heard anything back from OCZ about an RMA.
i just got my RMA number in email. Im going to send em off on Monday and be out of a computer for a week :( Im very disappointed with these so far, i hope the replacements do better. They pretty much wouldnt go 1Mhz over stock speeds, even at 3-4-4-10... Even when i underclocked my 3800 X2, still same results.Quote:

For $340, im not going to just deal with it. Ive never ever had an issue with OCZ ram, up until now. Ive been using their ram for a few years and have turned a lot of people i know onto their ram.
