It's a week 12, slightly older than the 3700+ we've seen were. Maybe that's part of it.

Ozzi, I'm using the 504-R1 BIOS. BTW, I think I saw someone mention that it's better to use a lower VID plus special % to get vcore, instead of just straight VID (1.375 + 113% instead of 1.55). Any truth to this?
if 3400+ could by 2,8G stable, i maybe get one.... :D :D
this is the wierdest thing fellas my 3700 at stock settings fsb at 200 X 12 at 1.3 volts goes to 45 idle doing nothing at all in the bios screen :(
guess im screwed
this is total bs
i dunno what im supposed to do now
great oc
i have tried it, it seems to only work with some of the lame cbbid winchesters.Quote:

thats least of my worries now man
im having so many problems with this dam pc it isnt funny
dos wont let me use usb anything, when i try flash bios to 05 one
restarts always crash pc until i use switch in back after i set 12X multi :(
to name a few
this is the worst thing i could have ever bought
I have never been this mad at a pc in my life
did you clear the bios before flashing, then flash the bios, then clear the bios afterwards and load optimized defaults?
you shouldn't be having this much trouble. i had a lot of quirks, but that was mostly with my ram suddenly being really picky
i cant flash bios pc wont let me use any of my usb components in dos :(
none :(
this is killing me man
ima take break ill be back on later this is bs

Flashing with a usb device has been a hit and miss for me, even on professional boards. :( I remember that my board would crash even in the BIOS prior to flashing it with Rev.E support. I could only do it at 800MHz.
i would put in a different cpu if you have one, and flash using a floppy, or from windows
yah i use ceramique on it ima take the mounting bracket off and grind it half way down next but firtst i just wanna get it running
no i dont have a diff cpu this is my only one
Why wont it allow me to use usb devices like kb and mouse in dos i dont get it my infinity would allow it, I use the logitech mx700 wireless setup kb and mouse, no offence taken vandi u of all ppl knew how excited i was but now im on verge of throwin this shi out the fkn window. I have built well over 30 pcs and this is by far the worst one, R_Gone over at dif street sais it might be because of the newer 3700 mobile and mobo dont support it bcause of this bios. i downloaded the 5-04 bios but cant flash it because of my dos with my isb device problems, ima try to find someone i know with ps2 adapters and see if that works. The wierdest thing is every dam time i reset or turn off pc it wont boot back up. Have t use the switch thingie
on back of psu and wait for leds on mobo to go off until i can restart and i know this cant be good for anything i try to do.
when i meant usb devices i meant to say usb kb and mousie :(Quote:

I used an AUTOEXEC.BAT file to make the floppy "automatic".... no need to type anything as all commands needed for awdflash are on that file. Just boot up with the floppy in and let it do it's thing.... If you need me to, I can send ya a .zip with all the files needed ( just extract to a blank floppy ).
 yah man ill try that thnx for the help, i wont even have to type in the file name? itll boot to floppy and install the bios itself auto? because now i cant type anything. Im looking for the usb to ps2 adapters i have. I have like 8 of em just have to find em around all this stuff i have stored. But yah ill try anything as ling as itll let me type in dos, also does 5-04 bios have rev e suypport? or do i need a modded bios? Can u send me the one ur using also new? u guys are makin me feel a lil better its just this bios dont like my cpu at all and dos with usb and raptor detected at ata 133 hd and now cant boot into it afetr windows install. U have to realize what im dealing with here. Its all went botched. :slapass:
Can ya PM me an e-mail add to send it too?
lol all my problems are fixed i found a usb to ps2 adapter and flashed bios now temps are at a nice and cosy 24 idle :)
im currently installing windows at 200X12 :)
im sry guys for sounding like a noobster because im not but this was a totally new world to me here, then new-b for ur help bro but i was flashin the bios when u asked for the email, I still had u send it anyway because u offered to help :)
im totally happy now
so far im happier than shi
a few questions right now im at 1.3v for 2400mhz is this right or too high or what?
default is like .982 volts and this wont work at anything besides 4X200
another thing is timings and all can someone show me a guide or their scr shot so i can get a basic idea of how to go about attacking this beast of a bios, im so used to infinity and intel based mobos with no oc options
LOL no prob....glad you got her up and running :)
I believe stock vcore should be 1.35 (that's what Vandi told me).
rgr th@ ill bump her up a bit then
thnx for the help dude
ill be playin americas army in a few more mins :)
cant wait to see what she can do
old pc in sig gets 95 fps with all high details so im hopin for atleast 150 but expectin more :)
well im on her and shes sweet as hail at stock, ima install all my usuall aps then run some benchies then ill start the oc process
is 28@1.3v a good temp for air?
or is that pretty good?
Im just askin because ive never seen any temp this low in my life and im lovin it and wonderin if its a bit high.
infinity and 2600 mobile with si-97 and tornado idles at 38 so this is a sight to behold to me
Yes, Newark 3700+ is 1.35v 12x200 - 2400MHz
Without a BIOS that supports Rev.E everything goes to CRAP!
28C is good. I usually get a CPU temp that is equal to the case temp when using a stock A64 HSF at 1.35v. This is on a Turion of course.
yah man it was and i was so screwed because i didnt have the patience to stop and think to put the usb to ps2 adapter so i could flash :(
i was totally pisd but now im happy
kinda bummed that fiurst 2003 run was anly almost 27k :(
i was expecting closer to 30k
but im still at 2.5 3 3 8 and all at 200 fsb 200 ddr and htt i have at auto
i have a few more things to read up on this b4 i start tackilin all this stuff
i read a post somewhere how to find max speed
then max fsb
then put em both together
im tryin to find it now
but first thing i wanna do is frag
after i play a bit ill go for ocing this thing
overall im happy
now at 1.35 and at load i go to 32c so thats good for me
So, what BIOS is that? Does that include OscarWu's (jess1313) 4th betas?
