UTT/BH5/BH6 won't get higher MHz with lower timings, in fact they sometimes get less stable. So trust me, and use my instructions, I can get 267MHz on my BH6 (which is corsair value ram) with those timings and 3.5volts. You should be able to do better with an FX, technically superior ram, and better motherboard. Just test and stop asking questions lol. :P
ah! I tried to bump up to 250mhz when i got home...no good...got errors after first loop of memtest went error free..and not a few errors that will work themselves out, 15,623 errors :P Anyways, i'm flashing from 310p bios to 414-2 see if it gets me any better clocking...i'll be back

Its memtest stable, i'm gonnna let it loop overnight and see what i can pull off tomorrow...i would show some stability tests but i'll save that until i'm at my max :)

hey - the way i understood the bioses when they were posted was that "1" was for TCCD, "2" for UTT/BH5/CH5, and "3" was a blend of the two...so in answer to your question..give "2" a shot, whats the worst that can happen? :DQuote:

Charlie... if you haven't yet, you might want to try 331-3 with your Blacks ;) Significantly better results with it than 218 or 125 on them :hehe:
I've been really busy but i'm on the rig now, and won't have results for a few more days most likely.
Nothing special, just booted to 240x10 with all 4 sticks in there (414-2 BIOS), not a single grunt or moan at all from this beast. Haven't even tried and its already beating my 2x1gb PDP memory.

No way your gonna get 280 on 12 or 13 multi with LS. Set multi to 11 and explore your max Ram clocks. I would also say back off on vdimm to 3.7 range. Over that causes memory errors, not in every case so test with memtest, particularly tests 6-7-8.Quote:

set them all to auto and then check in A64 Tweaker... at least then you'll know what timings the board is setting. Good luck in getting that 4x512 setup stable man!
The board sets 2.5-3-3-7 on auto settings.
I seem to have gained some stability at 235 at 1.5-2-2-5 over 2-2-2-6...still trying, but a far cry from the rated 250.
Edit, spoke too soon. Will try more settings.
I know it's "old news", but they work nicely even using dividers....
I can't try higher, cuz my Winny won't do it.

Could you post a A64 Tweaker screen shot when everything is on auto please?
Maybe someone here will spot a setting that is causing you this trouble... although you are one of the first to try overclocking 4x512 CH-UTT sticks.
Also, are they stable if you set everything to AUTO except for the "four basic timings" 2-2-2-6?
Sometimes Trcd=3 also helps with these modules...
right now im doing 260x10 @3.2v i dont see any higer voltages in the bios even with the pins set on 2-3.. do i need a special bios?
im happy with a 600mhz increase but i want to get it to 2.8ghz ;)

Are all these *Great* memory overclock done on A64 systems only??? what about P4 system? what about Dothan platform? I know people get better mem clocks with the A64 due to on-die mem controller. Do these sticks oc just as good with other platforms?
How well do they oc at lower voltages? i.e. 2.9v~ 3.2v? I'll feed 3.3v+ if need to be.

You could get a gig of Geil Ultra X BH-5 for £140. Mines doing 262 @ 1.5-2-2-5-7-12-1-2-1. I like it and these arent even a set of Cherries, these are a pair I bought myself! I'm sure they would go higher too if my CPU was phase cooled.Quote:
