As to your comment about being able to work suff out in your head in 3D, I know excatly where your coming from, well maybe not so much when I am tired.
It was always easy to see which apprentices would make good tradesmen, just by watching how they worked stuff out and if they could do it in there head or not.
Unless their mechanically minded most people can't.

Just a small update now that I have the right QDC fitting, I've assembled the drain setup. Not much text to go along 'cos I figure the photos should speak for themselves.

Btw those screws aren't final, I'm looking for my missing bag of M5 button heads. Also, maybe 1~2 more spacers to raise them higher off the floor.

Loved your last drain setup on the Pinnacle, Kibbs. Double Barrel Drain setup on Capella is looking to be just as sick :up:

Just paint them maybe? The shape compliments the QDC's quite well.
Definitely raise them up though. If they're anything like the larger QDC's you're bound to wiggle them and potentially scratch that gorgeous case :X

Wiring
First, my wiring diagram for the Aquaero + LCD. I used all red wires so they don't show through, which means I had to mark the pins different colors, so I don't mix them up. :(

After crimping/soldering/sleeving 16 wires to the Aquaero, done! The end of that cable is an IDC, insulation-displacement connector, typically for ribbon cables. It was a real challenge lining up 16x24awg individual wires exactly for the connector to close properly, luckily in the end it worked. Reason I used this is because there is very little space between the top LCD and the top of the rad, IDC takes up less space compared to normal straight connectors. By the way the ziptie is temporary.

Another small update
While waiting on a custom order (no names, let's just say this is absolutely the last time I do business with them), I made a small but significant change to the pump positioning.

I turned the pump top 90deg. That's 2mm clearance between the stop fitting and the side of the drive bay. Very close.
