The 1600RPM TRUE FAN, so NOT the boxed 1000RPM version
And like said before I have 2 screws that are not 100% well countersunk. I suspect due to that, the bottom plate is a bit bend now ( very thin copper ) : convex on one side, flat on the other end. Hopefully the new sample will nibble off a few more degrees...
I hope to get another sample yes, retesting will be done, maybe this is also one of the reasons the HOCP review is performing like that...
So good news after all.
Leeghoofd could you post some pics with the unit installed in your rig? Also did the True had a push pull configuration?
@Redbeard:Will Corsair fix all this minor problems for the units that are about to be sold or it ll be a case of luck for the customer?
ps:cant wait for Ender17 results.

I couldn't get a 2nd mount for the TRUE so it's one fan at 1600RPM. Lookign forward to Ender's results too
Leeghoofd would that mounting method allow you to change CPU without having to take out the whole motherboard?
Yes, the rear bracket is fixed to the mobo, so it stays put when you unscrew the whole unit... I asked for an AM2/3 bracket with the new unit ( if possible )
Leeghoofd - On the pic, is the fan pulling into the case or blowing out?? And have you tried the alternative??
@Leeghoofd thanks!
If you use the same push pull config for H50 like with the True would it affect much those degrees?
OK, here are the baseline results with my air cooling
Intel Core i7 920
Asus P6T Deluxe V2
12GB OCZ DDR3 1600 MHz OCZ3P1600LV6GK
Intel X25-M 80GB
2 x Western Digital Caviar 640GB Blue
2 x Western Digital Caviar 640GB Black
EVGA 260 GTX
Creative Soundblaster Fatal1ty Titanium
Samsung SH-S203B DVD burner
Corsair HX620W
Antec P182
Thermalright HR-01 Plus with Scythe S-Flex SFF21E at 12V
Exhaust and Top fans: TriCool on Medium
Bottom PSU fan: TriCool on Low
CPU Ratio: 18
BLCK: 200
DRAM: 1600 MHz
CPU Voltage: 1.3125
QPI/DRAM Core Voltage: 1.35
ICH Voltage: 1.3
vDIMM: 1.66
PASS: LinX 5 pass
Max CPU Temp: 85 C
Ambient Temp at start of test: 24.5 C
preliminary results show a 6 C advantage for the H50
more later
although it looks like the System Temp in SpeedFan is 4 C higher with the H50, not surprising since hot air is being blown into the case
Thanks for the numbers Ender17 , looking forward to further results .

Hmm. Looks decent for the size and price.
Also with your (system temps lower for the HR-01)
Maybe it should be tested against the Swiftech H2O-120 kit?
I think the ST kit will generally out-perform it.
But its a little more price wise as well.
If it turns out to be consistant with your guys test, then the only other
question will be reliability of the pump.
how does this think handle medium heat cpus with the fans set at dead silent? for the htpc users
Sweet .. can't wait for more results though
