very nice sniipe :)
very nice sniipe :)
yeah it does, except npsm is like the same thing, it threads in nice and snug and the ST adapter doesn't have a countesunk O-ring which helps with the seal on the side of the res. I'm not sure if the regular g1/4" extender would work better or worse....
I guess I will use this thread as a premier and lead in to my next endeavor to see initial manufacture in the spring:
Project: GT1
this is the Alpha-1 of the concept.... it looks pretty plain but I plan on doing some very revolutionary things with this table. It may get bigger

Test Bench??? Awesome!!!! tell us more!
Very nice job ;)
stunning :D
looks good! tell us some more detail please! how many rads will it be hable to handle?
I like where you're goin with the GT1
BTW
BP G1/4 extender seals the EK+comp as far as i can tell
good to know that worked out for you lyl :)
as far as the other questions/comments about GT1: this will have liquid cooling yes, but only for the NB and it will possibly be TEC chilled liquid loop.
the primary function of GT1 will be as an LN2 benchtable as I will be branching into the realm of extreme overclocking over the summer :). I will either begin a new worklog separately for GTI or continue within this one, but for now all design updates and things I am ready to reveal to you all will be posted up in this thread
Surfed today to million-dollar-pc and guess what I saw, Permafrost, good work like I allready said, it's a piece of art !
42 inches long, 15 inches wide...I see no compatibility issues with anything...other than cable lengths, lol
Small-ish updates here, gives away a bit of my planning ;)

The clean setup and really slick color scheme in this setup is very nice, and all goes together for the permafrost theme. I really envy the photography. The sad part is that even with a nice build like this, it wouldn't look nearly as good as it is in the photographs were it not for the outstanding pics.
I have a basic crappy camera and did my best to take pics of my case this week with a basic lightbox and halogens. It is so frustrating not being able to take the kind of pics I'd like to to get with the kind of lighting and clarity in your photos. But as usual, you get what you pay for, and I for sure don't have access to a 21 megapixel camera with a full photo studio, much less the know-how to take pics like that. Good job and well done.
more GT1 updates tonight, here is the first:

I have modified it a bit and added some things but that is essentially the TEC res
I forgot that I never told you guys what Kind of temps I was getting :)
mind you this is with a low ambient of about 12c (guess), but all the same this triple rad sandwich performs AMAZING and the denkis are @ 70% atm
(I raised my voltage in this screeny to make the temps more believable ;))

1st Post.....:woot:
OK....So I have been flying under the radar here lurking and learning for quite sometime now. I just finished reading this whole build log and had to break the silence....SIMPLY STUNNING!!! YOU HAVE INSPIRED ME!
This build is absolutley amazing, and as I am in the planning stages for an upcoming build, I thought it would be perfect timing to ask a question. The P80 is at the top of my short list for my case selection for the upcoming build. Is there anything I should know about this case? I have read in some reviews issues with the 5.25" bays not staying in place after being removed, is this something I should be concerned about? I dont really intend on water cooling just yet, but it certainly is an open option for the future. I would like to have it painted, and am seriously considering a black and gold theme. Any thoughts or any input?
And may I say again.....SIMPLY STUNNING!:D
Hey man I'm glad you liked the build :)
to answer your questions:
-No, I have never had issues with the 5.25" bay covers fitting
-The P80 is a wonderful case for air cooling and for water cooling so you really can't go wrong :)
-As far as color goes black and fold sounds cool  just make sure that the case and build is exactly what you want it to be :yepp: I subscribe to the idea that as long as its everything you want it to be then the build will be perfect.
I'm pretty sure this rig is going up for sale, not because I am going anywhere or anything, I just need to build many more computers.
The price is high but let me know if you are seriously interested: via PM or email eyean540 at gmail dot com
What???? You're selling your P80???
So emotionnal... :( lol
But I think you'll sell it for quite a lot of cash... It's just fabolously done, the components are great, and it's even on MDPC!
I'll be beginning my second mod, on the same case. :D
dualbrain and SNiiPE_DoGG, it'd be better if you two could use the PM system to resolve the issue. Thanks.
retracted - thanks for the support those who gave it :)
