q6600 8800gtx 4gb ram 3 wc loops etc etc adds up
i can say i didnt pay full retail price for most of my gear...i got alot of bargain/discounts and selling off old pc gear to pay for this pc...
so i really didnt spend that much....

sorry about lack of pics guys...
iam on holidays atm... :) wont be back for week or so.....
:)
and then he'll get the itch for the 4th loop... hehehe
ok im back from holidays...
over the past week or so that i have been gone... my pc has built up alot of dust!! lol....
any tips on cleaning it out????
I read somewhere canned air or whatever its called is good...?
It is but you can go through a few cans.
Some are higher pressure and more air than others. The Jaycar cans are good. D'Smith not so good.
I use a compressor but it needs to be oil and water droplet free in its output. So its a normal compressor with outlet traps or an oil-free type. Don't let your fans spin free. It'll kill the bearings.
I think you'd be better off with the dual core, it doesn't get as hot as a quad.
I also think that you won't notice to much a difference in speed if you clocked it up to 3.8
And swapping out a cpu shouldn't effect the os, you may have to do an update of some sort but it shouldn't be any problem.
You've done a great job on this project mate!!
But I want final pics... NOW!!!! :hehe:
Probably. I only have a quad because I render a lot and thats the only developed multi-thread soft atm.
In a year, games will take advantage of multi-threading but multi-tasking is the only other area of quad advantage currently and a dual core does that well anyway.
I've both E6600 and Q6600 here and am only using the quad 'cause its a box for 3D modeling and graphic work primarily. If I was still flying flight sims, instead of making them, it'd have the E6600 in for sure.
It's looking fantastic, looks tidy and the concept is pretty extreme. Really giving the itch for the PC343B to be finished.
It does look good, doesn't it.
Your's is like mine, Mekrel.
Closer it gets to completion, the slower it goes! lol
cheers all....i'll swap out my cpu tonight then :)
thanks for nice comments guys.....
i'll get them pics to youse asap....i'm capped atm so its gonna take a ages to upload them all :(
It comes to something when someone can buy the same case as you 6+ months after and have it set up before you, ~aoe~ managed to do that lol.
I'm a perfectionist, that's my problem. Tom @ ChilledPC is always listening to me moan about how I so want my rig to be finished, and he suggests ways around me waiting for different things yet I always refuse because it needs to be perfect. :ROTF:
disruptfam, what camera did you use to take those last pictures? They look great
cannon s3 Is
potrait mode, 1600x 1200 res, fine, 200 iso
I've figured out some better (Manual) settings since i took those pics
So new pic's will look alot better...
turned up the res toned down the iso... etc etc
Dissrupt'
You see that multi-colour anodising effect they have? The TJ-07 you mentioned is one case where all the internals remove easily. Just crying out to be done like that with black and red or blue. With a black exterior and multi internals it'd look great!
