Hang on ... you got a 2GHz chip running at 3.1? Nicely done!
Naked ... you took off the IHS I take it? I tried that with my Opty 185. Couldn't get the HS to mount. Retainer wouldn't take up the slack. (s939). Ended up putting it back on, but got better temps than before anyway (old compound under the IHS had dried out).
Q6600 @3ghz, 1.32 vcore 32bit Vista home

10/1/2008 8:18:28 PM|| 6385 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU
Is that Home Basic or Home Premium? And which BOINC version?
Nice cpu Andy. Mine starts puking a little after 470fsb unless I really crank the volts. But hey, the price was right! :D
Edited for idiocy:ROTF::rofl:
hawkeyefan, that question was actually for Malcontent re THIS POST ... I got yours. ;) Thanks.

I haven't been lucky to ever buy what I'd consider to be a cherry cpu. I do have an x3360 that I consider to be outstanding though. I got it direct from intel through rma. Really got me thinking that I should kill a couple of my less desirables if that's what they're going to send me back. :D
From another thread:
6.3.12
# of CPUs: 8
3934 FPU
12107 Integer
That's my X5450's at 430x9=3870Mhz, XP x64 SP2.
That enough for 40k/d?
Ya, seeing that beast in action was too much for me, too.
I already succumbed to the plan of building a 2nd one, maybe even a 3rd. Having 2 pairs of unused Harpertown CPUs lying around doesn't help with that either :shakes:
Here's how I'm running now:
Windows Xp 64
5.10.45
QX9650 @ 3.8GHz (9.5x400)

mmh okay.. let's see what it can do in reality, but I think it's not that far off (since it cached 120k WCG in 2,5 days)
Well when I add up all the machines in my own collection and run the math it works out pretty well. Of course we're still at the mercy of the validation quorum, so it's only an approximate guide to what a machine COULD do if it was granted everything it claimed AND it runs 100% 24/7.
