I've been reading through this thread and have yet to see a definite answer as to if there are ANY differences between a normal Core 2 Duo and a Xeon chip?
-Thanks
Nobody here really knows any real difference at least. :fact:Quote:

Must be different threads you are reading because I've read that testing is showing that Xeons are binned for lower voltage and less heat, I doubt you will find documentation from Intel on it if that is what you mean
Got Xeon 3060 today, L629A780
It runs much cooler than my previous B chip
Passed OCCT at 3.6 1.55V and 3.7ghz 1.6V on p5b dlx (modded)
Xeons like volts :)
Forget that 4ghz on xeon, it wouldnt do anything major cept for a few 1m and boot to windows before it reset. I did however get a run of 3.8ghz with 423x9 ram at DDR2 1055 on 1.6v 4-4-4-15 timings 2.35v

The damn thing wouldnt even upload results, it just said "Failed to Upload" :( so I will have to keep trying. I have the .PCR file for it though, is there anything I can do with this?
Video card was X1900XTX @ 750/876 on 1.55v
someone bought a 3070 yet ?
They are available from a Canadian supplier...
If you can get a L682B xeon3070, I would do it...Quote:

Hi i have been reading all ur OC storys with the xeon 3060 and looks like a good OCER but should i get a E6600 or Xeon 3060 i dont overclock and play games on my computer the most spect i love server CPUs for some reason should i spend the 10bux or just get a E6600:banana:
Why not get a Xeon for only 10$ more....
If an SRT-4 cost 10$ more than the base neon, which would you rather have...
Some people dont know the difference, and some do ;0
Qucik Max FSB test on a 3060 , Radbox Cooled.
