When I first got into overclocking it was with an IC7-G Max and a P4 3.0c. Anyone know if the AW9D-Max will properly support the 7950 GX2?

Can someone tell me how to disable speedstep/EIST on the AW9D MAX?
It's under Cpu feature in the advanced bios menu. what multi are you using?
Thanx. Should I set disable to all of the funktions in the advanced bios menu?Quote:

I tested prime at 3.730ghz ( 10 x 370) stable so far, but coretemps are cloce to 80C :slobber: This was with EIST and all that stuff enabled
The mosfet heatsink on top need air circulation on it... you are using waterblock... considering putting small fan on it like what you did to the ramQuote:

I got my board today as well. I thought there was gonna be more room between the PCIe slots but it's the same as i975Xa-YDG, 60mm only ;)
maybe a waterblock on NB would allow you to reach higher FSB,or at least better air cooling.eventhough, above 400 is quite ok and would be enough for me:)
maybe re-apply NB thermal paste with artic silver 5 or something like that... :hehe:
Yayy for me,mines coming today :)
Picked up on a few pointers from this thread so thanks, have the latest BIOS waiting already.
Hope to get some good clocks. :)
it is actually the same bios as 12 beta B02... no newer bios yet... :)Quote:

wow... nice 440MHz stable... cold booting at 440MHz or you need to use uguru to clock it up?
cold booting... it will cold boot up to around 450MHz, but it isn't stable.
Here is a link where I've been posting what I've been doing...
Tcase max is 85c so at least your not at the max. These conores really heat up when you up the clock speed even under water. I disbaled all the settings but I am no expert on this board, yet. I think my ddr667 ram is holding me back from hitting 400+.Quote:
