Dumo, is there any chance you've try setting 10x multi and FIRE it up @ FSB, Im quite qurious if its the same as the former samples, or its actually a bit better this time, especially since "I've order same place at yo" :toast:
Its retail boxed T2600 (I think multi locked) and NE first day retail board..

i know it's a T2600ES thread, but no one exist for other stepping :p:
can anyone from our friends in Asia
comment the rumours in circulation about a new revision A1 of
the AOpen board
A tad higher...

I suppose the rev.A1 should be written on the pcb of the board...right??
My board is excaxtly the same at the specs....

but rev.A00..:(

How are you getting the fsb so high while everyone else walls? Is it the cooling? Plan on trying ln2 soon?
Kyosen, is there a similar mod to enable Presler booting for those with cold boot problem?
hate all you yonah guys (jk) , u make my 950 presler look bad :(
anyway, those chips look great! and nice job kyosen.
lol 0.001:D . That FSB sure helps on this score. Nice Vmod indeed.
Run AM3 on that speed , damn benchmark is fast only 1 min.
Is this a fixed resistance? Or will a VR pot be necessary for booting @ different temperatures? Lastly, your pic states that the trace is connected to pinA24 in the socket....do you mean to connect the points with a jumper wire? Or is it just a description of where the circuit is mapped? Thanks....Quote:

Kyosen - thanks for this find! Thanks so much for sharing!
If I understand that mod correctly the connection to the CPU pin that monitors the diode is severed, then the pot is used to create a false reading in BIOS. Stephen I think all you need is in the pic, no other wire is needed as kyosen indicates it's connected internally.
Thank you kyosen :toast:
Really nice time on both 1M & 8M!
OK, I think I understand that part BUT I'm wondering if a fixed resistor can be used in place of the pot. I used my last 3 50k pots on an x1900xtx yesterday, but I have a few fixed resistors I can wire in series or other VR's which can be set @ 17k. I just need to know if the value for the resistance may/may not have be changed for whatever reason......Quote:

Mike I don't think the cooling type effects this at all. I think the mod creates a false BIOS reading that is always the same regrdless of cooling, we need to hear more from kyosen.
My fear is having never cut a trace how to do it correctly
Odd, Waus didnt have any problems with coldboot...?
Im planning running -40 phasechange (evap temp), do I need to do anything in order to do that?? - And LN2 for benchies ofcause, but booting and cooling afterwards wont be a problem then?
Actually, looking at the pic again,if Kyosen has set the value between legs 3 and 2 to 17K, the resistance from r570 -> pin is 33k. I'm curious as well why the resistor can't simply be replaced by another with the value that is necessary.Quote:

@ M.Beier: Waus's board was an ES board directly from Aopen. Maybe that's the reason why? I know that Dumo has had problems even with a stock Vapo @ -30C......
I am too tired  - missed the completly that there were three wires in play and an explanation above....rofl. Now how I missed it makes no sense...
Time to put my dumb ass to sleep
Sorry, I don't really understand that mod. Can someone explain? 3 wires? Does one wire go to pin #1 (looking @ picture from left side) of w83627EHG chip? What does "cut a trace" mean?
Some english terms I don't understand :slap:
even on ln2 i gained only 4mhz.. so :(Quote:

kyosen has modified the value in entrance of chip winbond the 83627, with this modification and possible to simulate a temperature to our pleasure increasing the resistance of the trimmer. the pin of reference it is the 103.Quote:
