Anyone got a link to the thread with the bad batches of Ballistix in it?
Mine are CL1115N.2Q, I've started getting lockups which I could cure for a day at a time by raising vcore or relaxing timings or reducing CPU speed, but now I can't get through one pass of memtest at stock without a lockup. No errors yet, though. It might be the mem controller but I'd be surprised.
With my first Expert board, these sticks did 320 MHz 1:1 3-3-3-8. The board blew up within 4 hours lol. It was Chuck Norris RAM back then.
Thanks. 16TD1s are looking good.Quote:

I can get soem SuperPI32M this weekend, but I think OCCT works as well:

and no, I don't have CPUZ validation YET, will all go up this weekend!
I am very happy with these HZs, for 165$ the only thing I can say is :woot:
Welcome to XS and nice ram!:D
btw, that was 1T, 2.75Vdimm, don't have a program to check voltages on that MSI K8N Diamond Plus.... will test on my DFI on the weekend
and thx Celcius :P
Hasn't Crucial stopped selling this particular set for good? I can't believe it's as easy as calling their 1800 number and asking to buy a pair of 1GB Crucial Ballistix sticks. Prove me wrong if I am.Quote:

These results already surpass my old kit of HZ. And these sticks run a lot hotter, so I had to use a bigger fan. I didn't include a tweaker shot because everthing is stock. DS/DDS: Auto/Auto, Tref = 3864 (100mhz, 1.95μs), and Vdmm = 2.6v in bios (Stock, didn't try lower one) One thing that's strange is that A64 tweaker reports my DS as "normal", but I will find the right values once I really push the ram. I have NO idea how Micron -5B D works, so I have a lot to learn. Any TIPS?
Ummm AIM me sometime, mine do 300 atleast, didnt have a problem running 3dmark at 295 2.66v, these chips run sort of diffrent than my Mickeymouse batch, i think his are real Micron- D since they need 3.0v to do that speed, these are diffrent chips.
Results coming this weekend, setting chiller up right now.
I got em running 265 3-3-3-4 1T 7/02 bios, 2.66v
GL dude.
These ballistix are really giving me a headache. One minute they pass 32M, the next minute they don't. It refuses to post at most drive strengths/data strengths sometimes, and other times it will. Really at a loss here.
I dont really mess w/ any of the settings in bios besides the big 3, i never really messed w/ drivestrength either.
Most of the tweaking is in windows. What clocks are you at now?
Well, I memtest fine at 300mhz, but not windows 32M stable until at least 287mhz. That's at 2.6v. I had to up vdimm to 2.7-2.8v to pass memtest at 300mhz, but windows is another story:rolleyes: . So your DS/DDS is at auto? How about tref? (PM?);)Quote:

For those that Rma'ed there ram would you recommend Rma to crucial or should I get another brand from Newegg??
I bought a set in 8-1-2005 and they did the same as others Bsod's then now they wont boot.. But I ran mine stock tho.
I heard others are able to get $250 credit at newegg or another brand.. Guess rma to crucial I would get some ballistix's back..
If you're ram runs stock, then crucial will probably send your ram back..Quote:

Which 3DMark is more stressful for memory? 01, 06?, etc.
After 3 sets of RMAs from Crucial directly (we have a corporate account) they finally said there was a recall and refunded my money. Now using OCZ PC4000 GOLD GX (ones with honeycomb) and they run flawlessly.Quote:

1*1GB Samsung UCCC by Samsung
If I set the RAM to 1:1 with the "FSB", I could hardly get over 280MHz, but with higher FSB and lower RAM:FSB-ratio, the RAM gets up to 290.7MHz superpi 32M-stable, anyone an idea how come?
Here the images:

If it would be added to the list:

My UCCC Twinx Corsair 4000PT sticks are quite nice...at least, I like them a lot

And yes at my $125 / hr that I bill clients to resolve network issues when I troubleshoot my hardware and spend x hours I do mind hardware dying for no reason. Overclocking hardware doesn't mean it is going to die, how many people have dead CPUs and Video cards once they find a stable overclock? Not many.
Then if they die also at stock what's wrong with overclocking them at MAX!??! :DQuote:

I just got Xtreem UCCC sticks and the max is around 258Mhz (Super Pi 32M passes, but not Prime blend stable), but maybe my timings are not correctly set.
What are you running for timings at the moment?
Why isn't Fady in the first place yet?

Prime/SP2004GO no error for 8hours,
but once run the latest version of SisoftSandra (2007.6.10.99) will result BSOD in Memory Bandwidth test ,
but in older version no this kind of problem,
anyone can enlight me ?

I just bought a kit of Team Xtreem ddr500 3-3-2-8 infineon. How much can I expect them to run @ ddr500 and or ddr550. I've seen a screenshot with cl2 @ ddr500 2,8V with these sticks but I think it's real luck. 2.5-3-2-5 would be realistic for ddr500 maybe? And how far could I push them with the stock 3-3-2-8?

I mind. My 4th set just died, this time TD1s. At least they lasted a couple months longer than the older variety. The weird thing is that this time, I can't get them to fail memtest at the speed at which they are unstable. Instead, the system just reboots whenever it feels like it. (heavy load) Running my BH-5s for now until my cross-ship gets here.Quote:

This database is officially retired as of 9/07/06. Thanks to everyone who participated.
Be sure to check out the new DDR2 OC Database.
This in no way means conversation and results discussion can't continue in this topic. I'm just officially stating that the database will in no way be updated from here on.
not gonna dig through the last 20 pages to update it one last time? :lol2:
If a moderator should wish too, be my guest, but frankly the effort and time it would take in relation to the benefit is not at all equal in my opinion. And that's entirely my fault for letting it go so long.Quote:

Hi all, I'm currently using Team DDR500 2GB kit equipped with Micron 5B-F. Now I'm using it at 2.9V @ 278MHz 3-3-3-8. Is it a save voltage? And please suggest which timings should I tune to make it runs at higher frequency (now topped at 278MHz)

Any one using the new Mushkin Redline PC4000 with AED93T500 chips?
Hey guys,
i will get some Crucial Ballixtix Tracer DDR500 2x1GB memory. They have the 5B-D chips from Micron.
I've heard that there were some problems with these memories, or with some other microns. Was it 5B-G?
Can you give me some advice?
