3GHz is not far away.
This one is sorta boring as far as memory bandwith goes, but a new record for me:-)
Fairly stable, so far... Windows, SuperPi 1million, 32sec a few times. I wanta go for 31s. Going to start increasing FSB a little. I think I might be ale to get 218x12.5, we'll see.

You memory is acctually running at 208MHz.
Please explain.Quote:

I'm still not following. I ran 216x 12.5 for 2700. That math seems right to me.Quote:

Seems like you are saying that 12.5 doesnt exist. Instead it is really 208x13, even though I chose a 12.5 multi. In other words, no such thing as a 1/2 mulit at all. Is this correct?
oh, i just didn't notice that you're running FX... that rule may not stick well to FX... but i'll double check that for you if REAL mem speed is showing up in CPU-Z mem tab...
@grave i thought the OCZ don't run very well??
Or did you have found the solution for it?
free
Dunno the solution for it, today i tooked them in again and it worked! :confused:Quote:

This is max SuperPi 32M and 3dMark2001 stable.... 265x10 is my 24/7 usage so far :)
Hey bachus, after playing with multis and FSB all day yesterday, I think you are correct. Using a 1/2 multi really sucked. Even keeping the FSB around 217, a half multi just didnt perform well. My best performance comes with 12x and 220-222, if it doesnt crash in bechies. 2610 is about all I can get 24/7 stable with my cooling. Thanks for the info.
damn. I have the same exact 3200+ and it will only do 2.65ghz at 1.7vQuote:

cpuz stable :D :p: :)
you guys are impressive! I'm using an early made winchester and OCZ 3200 Plat. These rams doesn't allow me to try higher HTT with 1:1. My best try is 218MHz 2-3-5-2 1T :( Hope 3200 Plat rev.2 could do better

i see a lot of 2.9ghz with winchester 3200+ ... i got 2934mhz with 3000+ ;):P

I show a new screene when i have this board.
I hope i have more with this board!!
My CPU: a64 3200+, winchester core, IHS removed
I get 2750-2775Mhz stable, aircooled with Hyper6 and MSI Neo2+2x256MB BH5
Max stable HTT with LDTx3 in BIOS was app.370MHz
SuperPI 1M@ 270x10 is 30sec, pifast 275x10 was 42,72sec
at this settings I have 8245MB/s mem bandwith and 32,8ns latency
and 3D test with X800PRO@500/1000Mhz give me the first 30K very easy :)
and finaly some cold air bench: (0 -5°C) -open window mod :D

And the 6800NU is clocked at 435/920 ,with 6vertex shaders 12pipes and 4 half working pipes

Although that IS at the top end of the curve it isn't that unthinkable as say, 2.8GHz stable on air with a regular NC.

Around 2.7 GHz. It's very dependant on my room temperature...

Well must say I am happy with the pci card so far.
Had to bump up vdimm to max on my board 2.8v to get this pi stable. I need to get to 2620mhz at least I think for this to be worth it over 220x12 without relaxing the timings. Having fun playing though... Nice to be above 230FSB, period. Gonna see if this is stable in games before going any higher. Got some fans over mem, doesnt seem to be getting too hot, but we'll see after I torture it a little bit. Wish me luck!
235 is all she's got @2-3-2 with t1 @2.8v, not bad though considering its rated for 217 max with these timings. Gonna try 2-4-3-7 per the spd timings table...
http://img37.exs.cx/img37/5904/235fsb1bc.jpg
Well I'll add my settings to the mix. Memory clocked down with tightest timings as experiment. It seems more stable and the applications I use doen't really need a whole lot of bandwith. Right now it's 5700mb/s according to SiSoft Sandra '05.

 oh my! you guys geting speeds of 3GHz+ must have stupidly fast pcs.
Ive only managed to get 2.5GHz out of mine so far :( Though I am hoping to get higher speeds after a few more RAM tweaks...

Alec
Ey,
I got this 3000+ winnie CBBFD 0437 VPCW - Have you heard of that stepping, and what is the average clock results ?
Here is my overclock. I can get to windows and get errors in SuperPI at as high as 2.78Ghz, but this is what i run day in day out, as it is as stable as can be. What i like is my voltage is just as low, or lower, than the original settings. Funny thing is, i can go up to 1.75v and it still wont be stable for benching at anything past 260...
BTW, this is on stock cooler with Ceramique instead of Thermal pad. Winchester core, 0441 model.
Newegg.com retail purchased 12/14/04
http://home.comcast.net/~orangeparktech/screenie.JPG
Wow system temp 6C colder than CPU temp. Try cutting down on that system temp and youll improve quite a bit. Nice OC with that voltage BTW!
dont know how to post screenshot, but have my week 35 winnie at 2.5 at 1.65vcore, unsure about temps, but seems to be ok with xp-90 on there, and got my old trusty geil running at 227 @ 2.5-4-3-10, and its pretty good, although having some issues with counter strike source, working on figuring them out.
Oh yeah, with x700pro@ 500/1080 or so I am at the top of the x700's on ARC and ORB '05. Top 5 in x700 in 01 and 03.
Superpi 1m @ 2.5= 34 seconds
stelleg151 you take a screenshot by pressin the printscreen button on keyboard and go into paint and paste, save and your all set.
So what does that system temp do for me? I could always put some ceramique on it, but im not sure if it would make anything overclock any higher or not.
Lower system temp...lower cpu temp. Or is your MB just laying on the table? Whats the usual ambient temp of the room?
Damn, i just dont get it ...
How can u go so high with so little vcore?
My 3000+ will only do ~2520mhz at 1.6vcore :(
No its in a case. This is a 24/7 PC. Im going to try some AS5 on it soon and see if i can push this CPU further afterwards.
and K32A, i just dont know, can't explain it, but it works...lol...Maybe my CPU is able to go higher and my chipset is really just needing to be cooled better. Ill try some things within the week to see.

About 8°C
The max. i can manage with "normal" roomtemps. It's with "open-window-mod", but watercooling doesn't takes an effect from it, just sys-temp. ;)

How much do you think I can OC this CPU on stock fan cooler. I have ordered ThermalTake BigWater which will cool my CPU at a later time. You'll find everything you'll need to know about MSI and more.
- SATA, use 3 or 4
- Voltages, Refer to the link. either you use a Beta Bios that can do high voltages or do a Vcore mod.
- RAMs, Get a OCZ Booster. It works on this mobo. again refer to the link if you want to do Vmods for this mobo. :)
That are a lot of things that could occur ...
I"think about it but I am a bit sceptical though...
Are there new revisions ?

The winnie is faster clock for clock, a winnie with speeds of that clawhammer above would get a 27 second SPI time.
Hello.. i have just startet overclocking my new Winchester 3200+ Week46.

i cant get it under 31sec, i use no tweaks of eny kind on my system.. i just ordered a Mach 2 modded whith R404a, so i can get even higher and maby get a lower SuperPI, but who knows if i get lower score i will post them right away
I finally thought that i will give one and last try to find better procssor. So i sold my old 3000+ and bought new 3000+ (week 47).And yes this time i got chip that is ok :p: ...every chip before this couldn't got ovet 2550Mhz and this one i get ~100Mhz higher....example =>superpi8M
Got a Winchester 3000+ week 47:
