i am undecided about this one, it looks too busy...
I tested out various custom styles and the Velvia50 was probably the best, a little over saturated but adjustable.
I think this one was with the Kodachrome style and added some saturation as it was a little dry.
here is a link to the picture with the velvia50 style set. Flowers done Velvia Style
Vignetting was added in post as it felt like it needed some darkness to the edges to pull your eyes to the center.
i really like how the bokeh of the 50mm f/1.4 looks like its a counterclockwise swirl.
Wife would have went ballistic had she seen me squatting down in her flower bed lol

straight out of the camera
shot with built in Neutral setting with +5 sharpness (if i recall)
photoshop better white balance and resize,, thats all.
so yeah not 100% straight out of the camera but good enough
i have a nice story to tell about this little monster (the camera not my kid)
this friggin thing is a beast and i will say with 100% honesty i am getting WAY better images out of this camera than my 3x 7D bodies i went thru.
i do not know how, or why,,, but its just doing it, and i am not complaining.

Canon T2i
Canon 50mm F/1.4 - has back focusing issue, thats why the teddy bear is sharper than Jr's face.
Shutter - 1/200th using flash sync
ISO-100
Whoa, wait you went out and bought a T2i???
yeah i returned the 7D and couldn't afford the 5D MKII so i got the T2i,,, what a freaking moster, the best 799 anyone could spend on a camera.
and i was mistaken about the back focusing as i said above, i thought i had the 30mm on which does have back focusing, even though i typed 50MM.
the 50mm f/1.4 is dead on
this camera is awesome. granted its not 8fps, it doesnt have the multitude of selectable focusing options and it isnt big and bulky, but its a beast none the lest.
Canon did something different with this camera and it is for the better.
i don't understand how, but this camera, as i mentioned above, produces much better images straight out of the camera, than the 7D ever did, for me.
i would love to see what Marin, Elisha and the other guys could do with this. i wish i had a fraction of the talent those guys do.
Apparently rumours about 550D (or T2i) being exceptionaly good are true. :)

hale, the f4 is a sweet lens...
i guess i could have settled for the f4 IS but if i don't produce nice pictures of my girls performing on stage, then my wife will kill me for spending so much...
hahaha... i love the extra versatility of the 2.8...
now i'm itching for a 100-400mm or maybe a 300mm prime... i don't know... i think i'll sell my kidney...
