I cant run my memory at anything other than 1:1 266/533....... Everythime i try something different, i get the 3 beeps....
I've flashed to 2747, and no problems so far.
I was using 2333 before, the big improvement is that I don't need to turn off the PSU to set the jumper if I OC too much and it fails to boot.
I was testing this newbios and I can run my chip with less vcore at any frequency.
4:5 not working, nothing new about that :(

Thanks.Quote:
wow..you have one sweet quad core....and running 4x1GB of ram
Actually thank the XBX2. :D Been running about 3 weeks 24/7 Boinc and Folding a home, not a hiccup.
I'd like to see if this new BIOS can get me stable at lower volts, that or make 3800Mhz stable at my current voltage instead of 1.57V. Early reports seem good.
Heceta6 has something to do with monitoring, seems an implementions that super I/O makers are suppose to follow???Quote:
Updated the Heceta6 Voltage conversion constants
what is this???

Constants would be reference levels or fixed points, not really sure what the statement means altogether for us on our boards. I guess one of us could write Intel and ask.
Good luck to those going P5K, I'll probably stick XBX2 until X38, unless I find a smoking deal on a different board.
How much lower vcore is everyone seeing on avg? I just upgraded to 2747 and haven't tried anything different yet. I know this L629B wants to do 3.8+ (;)), but it's not going to happen if it needs as much voltage as with 2333. I think I will test in the morning when ambient temps are lower (hot here today and AC broken - about 1 week for replacement unit and parts to arrive  )

OK, i need some help guys, i ran my E6600@3.0 at 2:3 at stock Vcore, ram at 2.2 5-5-5-15 (as specced), Vmch 1.525V, default Vfsb 333mhz. I got a few reboots during intense gaming. i had 23xx bios, so now i upgraded to 2747 and when i try to apply those same settings i get failed POST screen. I tried to OC with IDCC 2.2 (i got latest .inf from intel's site). So when I go to BIOS after getting that screen, my fsb is at 333mhz all V are as i put them but my memory seems to run on 667mhz mode. Does any1 have reliable settings to get my proc at 3.0 and ram at 1ghz?
Any suggestions on Vmch and Vfsb, I'd like to try stock Vcore 2:3 333MHz?
FWIW - with 2747 I can now run 3.7GHz stable at the same vcore I was running at 3.6GHz with 2333. Not a spectacular result, but I'll take another 100MHz for free. :D
I do think the reported voltages are correct (nealh), because the temps are staying very close to what I saw with 3.6. Prior runs at 3.7 required an additional .02v to get Orthos stable, and temps were floating above 65C (my max target).

I think 2747 is going to be the new gold standard. Check "ralph" in my sig. I was not able to do this with earlier bios's. I've also been able to boot at 430 FSB which I wasn't able to do before. Not saying it's stable there though.
I just upgraded my bios and it seems that C1E does work now. I also lowered my vcore a little and will test further tomorrow night.
With 2333 everytime that I started the computer I had to wait until the hard drive light went out and reboot and let it start up again or I did not have access to the Windows logon screen. Everything just froze, it appears to be working now but it will also be tested tomorrow.
I just cant understand why your BX2 works with 266/667 and my BX2 not. I can use 233/667 at max ~390FSB. After that I got BSOD :( My ram runs at 1200 5-5-5-15 @ 2.4v (680i).
:(:(:(:(:(:(
C1E bug fixed? I cant test it now coz I have "noC1E" installed.

Will this board support future intel cpu and does it oce Q6600 well?
