They still won't guarantee Rev 304 stock and it could be weeks before previous revs are all purged from the channel.Quote:

However the only way I know to ensure getting a Rev 304 is to buy from B&M and inspect the box.
I assume these do not support SLI... being intel chipset boards?
Me neitherQuote:

Does anyone know if it is supposed to come in an Intel box and show me what it looks like please?
Thanks Mr. Beast, what an awesome system you have. It's strange a bios should be submitted to the public as broken? Mine now has the most recent as of a few days after it's release. Not tested on it yet. Yes, I had updates the bios from factory standard to the second last and most recent releases. Everything booted fine. It's just loading the OS and the freezing up whilst windows is installing devices (could be power issues as stated below.) So Thats 3 bios versions that had no bearing on this situation. Cpu is being sent back as being suspect..... See what happens. I suspect the following that has to do with not having enough ampereage from the psu though a 1x4 to 2x2 connector adaptor as the cpu works in another less powerful board:-Quote:

My BadAxe from NewEgg arrived today, shipped May 31. It is rev 302. :(
That sucks man ... :( I was just thinking to order one too after going to local Fry's today , spent 2 hours driving in heavy traffic  , and they had only 302 , asked them when they may get 304 and they said may be nex month lol  :stick: "Cause not many people buy those ... " and the same guy told me that lots of people been asking for 304 this week . Of course nobody buys those old 302 rev , why not get some new 304's and get some huge sails ?! :stick: Why it such a big deal to get that damn rev.304 in U.S. ?!Quote:

But there are lots of people that don't need 304 , they don't care if it's 302 or 304 . So why not order some 304's in first place for all those people that been asking about that rev recently and sell those few 302's that are left to costumers that don't care much about revision ? I thought it's better to sell something :fact: than nothing :slapass: :DQuote:

Well, my local Fry's has the rev 304, but it's $50 more than at Newegg, so I thought I'd take a chance. Most of the people that will buy these boards now are the same ones that bought them before, for Pentiums.
Yep it does... The board is a revision 302 and hopefully a retail revision 304 will fix the issue? It is possible that the new p- D 3.6ghx is not compatable with rev. 302. Obviously, Intel would have tested the new processor in rev 304, but it's only a possibility. All I know is P - D 960 has trouble in rev 302???????????Quote:

The original board (rev. 302) bios did had the same problem. Second last and last revisions of bios also had no bearing on the issue. Bios has been eliminated as not being at fault. As the CPU works in another board, we have eliminated that as well. It may be likely the board will get hoyked and a revision 304 installed and the same CPU out back in. It could be (this is another final stab in the dark) a compatability issue with rev. 302 mobo and the Pentium D 960 3.6ghz processor............ I see in here there is a two week wait for rev 304:eek: Lucky I have this (another) pc still  ...one day he's legs and arms will drop off...Quote:

Be absolutely specific on what you want and do your final homework to ensure new items are on the market. If they are newly released, be prepared to be patient.Quote:

They also have $16 minimum shipping rate. I won't do that, at least not in combination with an inflated base price.Quote:
