Not yet I'm setting that up now.

Update:

Core 0 wasn't stable in prime at 1.42 volts. Core 1 was stable in prime at 1.42 volts. I have the 170 Dual priming at 1.48volts right now stable so far. I'm gonna let it run for a few hours.

OK, here is what I have with my Opteron165. Hitting 2.5 pretty easy. The problem is my second core does not advance past the 1st prime95 or SP2004 test. Here is the image and some info.

Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong. The LDT/FSB ratio is at 3x.

Thats my goal with a 170. I have some patriot that runs at those speeds. Whats your memory bandwidth?

They all have 1Mb L2 or 1Mbx2 for dual core. The 939 dual core opty's are 165, 170, 175, and 180.

i dont think they make a 185 series seeings how the 180 is the same thing as the 4800x2...

I just ordered a 170 from mwave I hope it's 0530, but i'm sure it won't be i have the worst luck in chips.

Arrived from NJ Opty 170 0530TPMW retail box. Newegg didn't let me down... one more time!

I've got two more coming from Monarch that I have to go and pickup from FedEx (ahole didn't leave that box at the door but left neweggs as always), one OEM and one retail. Will keep you posted. I've got what I wanted, hope you get it too :woot:

I won't tell you to go and buy from newegg since you might not get what you're paying for, but an order with priority rush on it might help. You can't be certain with any of the retailers anyway, so screw Monarch with their price hike. I bought mine before they jacked up the price.

Figures.. thats what happened to me when I tried to get some 146s.

I'm still gonna lay low until some 0540s come out.. the single core ones were nice.. low volts and low temps.. so I don't see why the DCs won't be... unless these 165s I found turn out to be 0530.

Ordered an OEM 175 from Monarch earlier today. Shooting for 2.6GHz on air (Zalman 9500) with crap memory and a Gigabyte :rolleyes: NF4U board. :woot:

I would compromise the 175 for a 165 and get a better mobo and ram. Good chance it would come close to 2.6 too.

I have a little update. First I decided to decrease the voltage and see how far I could get dual prime stable on stock voltage. I have it running 2700mhz @ 1.31volts dual prime stable.

yeah man simular results from this optie 180 0530TPMW using air. the screenie below was taked from org owner of this chip. i will be running phase change when it gets here friday. seems these 0530s were good on the single core and just as good on the dual cores... just hope i dont find cold bug that would suck.

I already have. Mine does prime stable at 2.8 with 1.550v to 1.580v. Anything over that will fail. One of the systems I built is running 24/7 at 2.5 and does not hit 40c under double prime load (CNPS9500 and in climate controlled server room). It's also completely stable up to 2.7 with 1.475v. They are pretty good.

Does anyone have any thoughts on why I can get prime95 running on one cpu, but not the other. Prime95 just stays on the 1st test for the mixed testing. I can get both cores to run Prime95 simultaneously with the Small and the Large tests, but not the mixed. I have set the proper affinities and have tried using SP2004 also. Help.

Use SP2004 instead of Prime. After you open it uncheck "affinity" and assign each copy to one core, or when you run Prime go to your Task Manager - Processes, right click on each Prime process and go to Set Affinity. Assign them to your cores there.

I will give this a try. I hope it works. I could not get dual primes running even at stock speed. One would just hang on the 1st test.

Also, do I need to run any special drivers for the dual core? I see that the driver is a microsoft one, when I look under hardware manager.
