I think I am just going to pop the IHS back off and see if I can get good contact with it. I have a feeling that my core isnt getting contact with the IHS. As others have thought as well.Quote:

peace perc,
Well its not perfect but I got me temps a little better now they are -20 idle and +15c under load. I am not to sure if MBM5 is reporting these right but thats what it says. So I started to mess with the oc and man I can lower the volts now and raise the HTT. I ran 2x prime for 4 hrs at 3.1ghz at 1.58v. :woot:

That's awesome dude! Yet there is something very wrong w/ your mach1, i run a chiller and my chip @ 1.6+v never exceeds 5c load w/ a 100% load GFX card in the loop. You making good contract?Quote:

So wait, you set up MBM up for the NF4 and it reads -20 idle in MBM, but then @ load it reads 15? I don't think it's the mobo, i think it's the contact, or a crappy mach1.Quote:

a fellow TPMW'er!!!
much better OC than mine though..i need .02v more to hit that speed.
still working on it
how far can u get yours?
you need to re-seat it ...something isn't right there.....or perhaps you haven't sealed adequately.Quote:

Is urs an E6? Mine says E4 first then now it says E6. So confused. My max is 2.75ghz too. I think heat is holdiong me back. 50c during load is iffy for watercooling, especially since I have the G5. Probably needs a reseating or maybe the heatspreader needs to come off
50C with a g5? man.... IHS removal time :)Quote:

and your an expert on phaschange? there is not anything wrong with his unit. the thing runs at -47c and -32c under load at the evap that is perfectly normal for a mach1.... dont post crap unless you know what your talking about....Quote:

Hi board
I have a question regarding overclocking the 3800x2
I just put together a 3800X2 with the evga n4SLI board. So far the maximum stable overclock I have gotten is 2500GHZ with 1.4 core voltage 5 HT 10 multiplier 250 northbridge
The thing is I took my my multiplier down to 5 my HT divider to 3 and upped the northbridge from 2600 to 3000 etc, The video controller is locked. Anyway the PC won't boot or boots @2600 then just crashes at higher frequency levels "no BSOD". And then after the crash the PC somtimes won't reboot untill several tries. Would it be fair to say this frequency cap is a limitation of the evga MB northbridge.
Thanks for any insight.
Steve
evga n4SLI
3800X2 Stock Cooler with Arctic SIlver 5
Gigaram DDR 3200 2GB (2 x 1GB) CAS 2.5 (Default)
evga 7800GTX
It's not crap.... i know he didn't get what he paid for thats what i'm saying... he should be in the negatives @ load not at 40c!Quote:

And my CPU doesn't breach 40c, i've got a D-Tek White Water Aluminium. Priming now and it's 38c. Maybe your isn't mounted totally right?
I thought I would post this ss just for fun!!! :woot:
