Wow! You guys really want Venice.
I've been a long time reader of your Forums but I've never actually registered to post. I might be able to help. I have access to all sorts of computer goodies. I usually have access to buy CPUs about a week before most people see them in places like Newegg, etc. (EDIT: Probably not Allowed. Just trying to see if maybe I can help.)

OK, I edited my post. I E-mailed the Admin but I never heard back. So since I'm not out to offend anyone and since there is too much suspicion, I'll just let you guys know when they will be in. I'll try to find out if AMD has shipped them or not. I'll check with my suppliers tomorrow morning and see what they say. I was never out to get a Venice since I only work with Opterons and what I am waiting for is Dual Core.
I don't sell anything Online (hence no "credentials") because I am afraid of getting scammed, which is one of the reasons why I avoid selling retail in the first place. I try to stick with Professionals and large order customers. I was planning on bothering my AMD contacts, if I had to, about this issue but I can see it might not be worth it.

Well BELIEVE ME, I'm very interested, but as you said so yourself no one wants to get scammed and here in the forum world a user gets trolled more often than anyone would like.
But dude if you could really try to get some info on when it's gonna get released PLEASE be so kind as post it.
And I don't think anyone got offended but since it's your first post and such and no one knows you, everyone automatically gets their guard up.

Monarch let me know that they will have them up for pre-order as soon as they can.
Oh yea the good news. They said they will be in stock next week.

OMG C42, didn't you pre order yours from NCIX? Are you gonna cancel it? If monarch gets it next week I suppose NCIX won't be too far behind I hope.
If Monarch puts em up for pre-order I'm cancelling my NCIX. I have something else going on too, might get to put a nice little comparison together. We'll see heh.
I have bad news on the Newegg front. I sent an email to them asking for an ETA on Venice, and this is the response I received:

Monarch has a chance to score big and win 1000s of customers. If they are smart, they would have ordered 1000s of Venice from amd because they should know how many of us are itching for Venice!
This is the email I got from Monarch this afternoon regarding the Venice...
"We do not have an ETA on these processors at this time. We will post this on the website once we have confirmed an ETA."
So take that for what you will.

You can bet that Monach's price will be MUCH higher than Newegg if they ever got them in stock first.....
But who know, maybe the rep from newegg doesn't know what he was talking about and just blowing smoke, they also have a policy that said it's going to take 2 to 3 business days to process the order, but shipments always went out the same day you ordered in the morning or at noon, and I always get the package 1 day ahead of the scheduled date as well, so maybe they'll have them in mid April instead of May, I guess we'll wait and see.... ;)

from my past experiences newegg puts products on sale only after they have been in the market for a while ........ so they definitely dont get the newest latest stuff out there. I guess they dont like taking chances . Our best bet lies with Monarch or ZZF . Dunno how soon ZZF gets their parts though . I called up the local pc club and they say that they are waiting for the products to arrive at their warehouse and they have an order in already. So who knows ...... maybe next week we will finally see some Venice cpus in circulation .
