Let's see the X800XL 3D screenies!!!!

Ok I have good news and bad.... :(

First of all X80XL likes the cold :)
I was running Car Low at 571/1221 @ 470fps...

Had all kinds of problems with the Winny :(

Only got off ONE FULL RUN of '01.... and it was early at 532/1210...
PLUS it was a crap run.... bad car low, bad lobbies :rolleyes:

I ran up to 1.7v on the GPU, seemed to love it! Can't wait to see someone crank one up with some serious cold!!!

I couldn't take out eradicator tonight... will try again (of course)

EDIT: SH*T!!! I just realized why this run was SOOO bad, lol.... the LAN connection was still enabled, lol.... it would have been 33k++++ with it disabled, slaps myself.... :stick:

Eradicator put up some good marks. But I have a feeling he won't be so lucky next time...

Down on cpu power but up in video power, however dragothic still favours Eradicators cpu/card combo it seems, so you only have nature. If the cards were more weedy ( like 6600GT ) then it'd be more equally split between the tests so favouring your better card clocks.

I'm sure there's more to come though.

SO strange.... I gained SOOOOO little from DI on the 3000+....
Must be the 9x multi, and either my board or the CPU just can't hack high htt. ANything north of 320 just wouldn't work :(
Really want a new CPU, now....

Well really hate to make have to buy a new cpu, but take a look.. This is with 1.58v to the core... :D WIndows 2k install should happen tonight if time permits...

Try 2k5, you should do 6400-6500 points at least ... maybe ...

same here Charlie, when i go more than 300MHz on HTT, i get VERY LOWER scores!! though my CPU/RAM are capable of at least 2.9GHz with 270MHz @ 2-2-2-5!! :(

Try 331-3 BIOS, 7X multi, RAM @ 133Mhz, most RAM settings on auto (well, except the basic ones). Helps me clock my 0447UPCW 3000+ at least 50-60Mhz higher. I know you'll ned very high HTT but my board has no stability problem up to 450Mhz.

Does anyone know if psu strenght/quality will affect your video clocks.. Ive got everything on my system running off my old antec true blue 350w psu, really surprised it can run the system stable at these speeds, but if upgrading it will give me more clocks on the XL, might have to give it a try?

Eradicator on the verge of 34k! That will probably be broken once you move to 2k...

hi mate, what clocks are on that x800xl? I am just a tad over you in 01 with about 28.3k. I have my gpu at 432 and ram at 567. Hope to get it higher when my silencer 5 arrives and a little ceramique.

Cantankerous, you running Win 2k? That might be why you're ahead, because in his other compares it shows his GPU at 469MHz and he's running XP and DirectX 9.

Hi there, actually no I am running winxp. An nlited winxp but still xp. My cpu is only at 2580 and my gpu only as stated above at 432/567 and I still get 28.3. I thought my score was bad for my lower specs I guess it is ok. The only thing I can see helping is the fact that I have bank interleave enabled on my 2 X 512 sticks. BI doesn't work on 2 x 256 chips. The other thing is my ram is BH-6 with VERY tight timings over his TCCD. My page file is also on a seperate drive if that helps.

from wht ive seen using 4.11 would push me easily passed 32k, only problem is the bios flash i did to my Ultra-d killed a piece of my hardware

tis not the mobo, i bought a new one, and i get 4 red led and no boot still, so am in process of buying a cheap PCI vga card to see if the card has died, if tis not card will be sending CPU and RAM to friend for testing.

Hey... just obtained a BBA ATI X800XL. Wondering if temp monitoring is available because I can't seem to find it/enable it in ATItool. Tried Atitool 0.23 and 0.24 Beta 7 (Beta 7 doesn't even recognize the card).

i couldnt find it in ati tool either , its in riva tuner though

use rivatuner, it's REAL nice with the XL...

well i finally got my connect 3d X800 XL rma returned and so far this card seems better , doing 470 core and 600 mem with no volt mods ( old card did 450-460 core 570 mem) and finally broke 30k in 01 on win xp link
