I'll give 1014 final a try and see if it screws up my OC.
Admiting up front that I havnt read every post here.
My friend has an Asus A8V Dlx, we're pretty sure it's rev. 1.X and he's been having issues with the AGP being set to 0x or 4x as opposed to 8x. Both a 9600 pro and 9800 pro have given him this issue; anyone had any experience with this problem? is there a BIOS that will help him (I think he's on stock)?
thanks
right now:
whats the latest official bios?

I just picked up and A8V not the deluxe model, can I still use the Deluxe Bios? Also where do you get beta bios and which is the most stable right now?
I still cant get my Corsair XMS4000 dualkit to run at 250MHz when i set my FSB to 250mhz.
I set ram to limit and then 2:1 and the pc freezes immediatly after reboot. Tried setting HTT down from 1000 to 400 still no go.. 2T command is enabled...
Simply cant get it to work :(
Only auto works and then it runs at 208MHz
Ps. the ram is in slot 1 and 3
im using bios 1014.008 and tried ALOT of the older ones. same problem
Go to Corsair's Tech Support forum for that:Quote:

Finallly got it up and running at 250MHz on ram and it seemed the problem was the Vcore. But i cant run 1T now so i get lower performance.
Now i OC'ed my 3200+ to 2700MHz so the ram is running 222MHz and Sandra reports of 6600Mb/s bandwith.. and superPI 1meg runs under 33 seconds.
So im happy now :)
Maybe someone can help me. Here is my situation...
I have had the delightful NF7-S 2.0 for about 2 years until it died upon me changing my memory  (go figure) and was using the OCZ DDR Booster along with it. I have some EXTREMELY good Geil Ultra Platinum Dual Channel PC3500 that loves high volts, I always ran it at at least 3.4 volts for over a year and a half. Since I had JUST BOUGHT a BFG 6800 Ultra OC 8X AGP card (not knowing that my motherboard was going to die), I am now stuck with it and will not be upgrading to PCI Express. Hence I need an 8X AGP socket 939 board that is an excellent OCer. HERE IS THE PROBLEM.... The ram sinks that I have attached to my double sided ram obviously protrude out of the sides, so there is no way that I can run them in a 939 board that has a "side by side" dual channel configuration, it must be a "slot 1 and 3, or slot 2 and 4" dual channel configuration. I have done a lot of research and have come to this board (ASUS AV8 Deluxe Rev 2) and hence this thread. My problem is that I think this is the board that I want, but if it only allows up to 3.0 VDIMM even with the DDR booster, this probably won't allow me very high FSB's with my memory and I DO NOT want to have to physically solder or mod anything on a new board :(
My question is this... Do you guys recommend THIS board given my situation?
OR
Do you know of another board that you can recommend that OC's EXTREMELY WELL without mods AND HAS THE "slots 1 and 3, or 2 and 4" dual channel configuration.
I know that the DFI NForce 3 board doesn't have the right configuration, I'm pretty sure the MSI Neo Platinum doesn't have it, I am not sure about the Epox Board, and so on. I am in a dilemma and the board MUST be an excellent overclocker.
**Heres an idea for everyone**
Will Hipros new DDR Maximizer solve the low VDIMM problem you guys are having with the OCZ DDR Booster? Does anyone think it will allow for high VDIMM on this ASUS board?
Why do the experts recommend???
Anyone still following this thread?
Just picked up one of these boards and am currently @ 278 HTT, on 1011
Has anyone tried the latest 1016?
Also im trying ot find the 1014.007 Beta but cant!
Can anyone help?
Cheers
I buy this mobo two month ago and i waiting for a Opteron processor ...
Hey Baf Axe, can you tell me your sistem settings and memory?
I wouldn't pair an Opteron with this board... The board has problems hitting more than 280HTT stable (The best ones) and the Opterons are really nice clockers.. If u get a 144 (Multi 9x) then u get very limited by the board... If u want this board and an Opteron buy at least a 146 or 148...
I had my Winchester @ 300x9 but my Venice crapped out at 290x9 with any kind of voltage (Now doing 3Ghz on a DFI nF4 Ultra-D) so i believe this board has issues with the Venice core...
Anyway, here's the validator if it's of any use...

Just wondering if anyone knows of a modded bios for this board. I'm trying to find the limit and looking for one that goes above 300 HTT which this board seems to have no problem hitting with 1017 bios.
