If your board is revision 1.0, you need to hardmod it to control vdroop, otherwise the 1.1 boards have a semi-functional LLC...

I just have read all the thread and now Im understanding the problem.
And I guess that Gigabyte dont will fix that because they say that wasn't a problem, but only the "AMD AM3+ load line calibration design guide"
I think that is stupid, but can we do? nothing, anyone knows if this can be fixed with a new bios!?
And Asus Mobos have the same issues?!
The Crosshair V Formula does not have the same Vdroop problem. Unfortunately there is no way to fix revision 1.0 without a hard-mod, hence the need for revision 1.1.
I gonna play with this one and maybe on the next times i will RMA this one to get one rev. 1.1
Contact sin0822, i think he knows how to do the hard mod.
990FXA-UD7 hard mod. 100ohm resistor (don't bother with a variable as pictured) to replace 0ohm. Be forewarned, I actually tried this. Those resistors are tiny. I'm no noob at soldering, but I borked my board trying to do it. If you aren't very good with a soldering iron in extremely tight real estate, think long and hard before trying this mod.
No Im not doing this, I dont want to RMA the mobo for the worse reason!
I will keep the mobo, and see if in future gigabyte release a new bios with less vdrop or wait for mobo got problems and RMA.
One question that I have is, does anyone have a ud7 with a bulldozer cpu to check it there's still any vdroop with it?

For people trying the mod, remember that RMA eligibility is only meant for replacing broken boards due to defect. If you break it yourself, you've voided the warranty.
in graphic interface in mainboard tab in cpuz I see 4x link but should be x16 on ud7 ver2. anyone have this problem?

Is it possible to generally RMA a board just because of the VDROOP issue? It would be good too know for future boards. I've never tried to RMA a board because of any other reason then it being broken. But I would like to do it with my UD3 and see if they have rev 1.1 in stock. Doing the MOD is not an option for me because my soldering skills are non existent :)
I miss the option in BIOS to turn off cores on my 990FXA-UD7, with BIOS F6 and FX-8150... Anyone knows if that is about to be fixed? Before the weekend would be great... ;)
EDIT: Gambit_2K: I know EVGA accepted RMA due to something that was fixed from one version to another. EVGA went out officially though, and said that they accepted RMA. I doubt it would be possible to RMA this board though. But if you contact Gigabyte and try, please keep us updated how it is going. :)

Maybe you can do me a favoir... Can you just double check with AMD Overdrive if you can have different multipliers for different cores on the CPU? As I remember that was possible with Phenom II, with FX-8150 I cannot get that to work. :( I have to have the same multiplier on all cores.

WTF?! and I say to him, are we talking about €200+ mobo, and for less money I can buy the CVF and overclok better my CPU.
I will waiting some weeks to see what its going on, and maybe on the start of the year make RMA of the mobo, to get one with LLC,
I have check the LLC function and it sucks but not so mucth as this boards without!
