Trust me your gonna f'n love it because i just spanked another block maker who said it was impossible to do it this way.

Yes it is TC spacing.
As far as the "Great Rad Debate", no one can claim the price/performance crown that Switech Rads have. I have PA120.3 and a PA120.1, both solid construction no doubt, but if R3 hadn't given me the sweet deal on the PA120.3 and I hadn't picked up the PA120.1 from Microcenter for $50, I wouldn't have gotten either. TC and TFC are both out of my price range for something a MCR320 or MCR220 will do at a third the cost. I will say this though, TC's and I assume TFC's rads are the same with this, they hold their value unlike Swiftech or HWLabs rads. You will rarely see a PA120.3 used selling for less than a $100, whereas you can almost always find a MCR320 used for $30-$40. It's like anything else, you get what you pay for............well, except for Swiftech, they are definitely the value king.
RRR is switching all his rads to Feser, Swiftech and Black Ice :rofl:
Hey RRR, when are you getting rid of the BOP fittings and switching over to Koolance? :D:
Use filtered sea water as coolant !!! Goes very well with the Koolance end plugs :D:
Simply because the rads are designed differently.
If you take the same radiator design, same thickness and dimension, and make one of brass and one of copper, the copper one will be much more easily damages, while theoretically has a higher ability to dissipate heat.
While not supporting TFC (I've bought mostly Swiftech rads myself) I must say that if you make it the same but change that one thing, it will be softer and more prone to flexing. Comes down to material choice. Could be a case where copper is detrimental.
They look so ... small.
I'll stick with the TFC 480's
Pretty sure GM rads use plastic, they crack at the fittings. You can thank the bean counters at the GM for that
Hateful words there big guy. You doubt my integrity . I own two 480's does that make me any less if I owned 5? Take it to PM and we can discuss how much waterfront property I own, and you?
Keep it civil it was not meant in anger, I thort they look small compared to a 480.
Never. I just want to see them in the case, I'm incredibly impatient I know.
That is awesome, I'm just looking forward to seeing them installed...:yepp:
I have one of each (TFC and TC), I like them both. In all honesty, they are pretty much the same, similar enough performance that most people would have a hard time telling the differences there. I really don't have a strong preference either way, I only like the TFC because of the quad sizing. Both have their little quirks. The paint, barbs, and no screw threading on the TC and the M3 screws on the TFC. I wish they both had a HWlabs paint quality, M4 threaded screws, and G1/4 barbs. They could both use some minor tweaks. Neither one come close in performance/price ratio of the lower cost rads though.
You still have not shown me anything that presents some sort of failure in structural integrity. It's very basic strength of materials. You don't design anything for failure, you design for acceptable means of stresses. More than that is wasteful in materials.
Kindly show me how pushing in the sides of the radiator somehow is structurally deficient. Keep in mind the same thing happens with HWlabs, MCR, and just about every radiator out there. I don't understand where it would matter?
Squeezing the sides of the radiator is no different than pushing your thumb on the door panel of your GMC truck. It moves.......so are you driving a flimsy truck?
No, it doesn't matter. It's an appropriate design and materials working within acceptable stresses, it has nothing to do with your truck somehow being structurally deficient.
That's all I'm saying, and I don't design bridges...I'm just a roadway guy...
