nice one, under stock heatsink... lol. what are your temp under orthos cpu test?
do ya have stepping?

well   at myself
i played some Voltage_to_megahurtz game to find theese max freq:
242*13=3145@1.31V 898mem 4-4-4-10
243*13=3159@1.37V 902mem 4-4-4-10
244*13=3172@1.39V 906mem 4-4-4-10
it looks horrible to say at least.
so, i dropped the timings a little, say 4-5-5-12 and its stable at 0.05V less
weird you think?
so before 3172@1.39V mem 906@4-4-4-10
nowstable 3172@1.34V mem 906@4-5-5-12
i puzzled with this long time, why it would not oc higher than that. mem timings are the answer.
Strange is that the mem is stable to 480@4-4-4-10 with brisbane cpu
i'll see how hight it will go now
not much of an update...
i ran orthos for 3 hours apposed to the 1 hour i posted

1.425 for 3.33ghz is pretty good indeed
what are your temps?
hi this its my first post i show my oc im new and i want to learn more

welcome oruga. nice clocks for a beginner for sure. congrats and enjoy :)
Indeed you have every chance of 3ghz on stock hsf providing you have nice low temps. Your cpu (as with most other A64's) will handle upto 1.55v np so long as you have good temps. If you wanna ensure lower temps and perhaps increase your OC even further beyond 3ghz then I'd suggest looking into a third-party HSF designed to give very low temps (for air).
Also, which memory are you using, DDR2-667 or 800?
Keep in mind, later brisbane cores do NOT like vcore. Anything over 1.45 produces serious heat, and barely any more OCability due to the extra heat. Smartest move is to keep the voltage below 1.45 and see what it can achieve.
My 4800+ brissy does 3.1 on around 1.4v IIRC, which is pretty decent. I should test it out properly.
welcome oruga. :)
But this thread is for Windsor F3.
i use a pair of ddr2 corsair vr ddr2 667 ON asus m2n-e i cant reach in the bios de v.dim of 1.95 cause its the limit for this mobo !
corsair its a decent a cheap memory i reach in my old e4300 3.5 ghz whit that memory i thinking to buy a new cooler like ultrarigth or blue orb 2 for eye candy jajjaja !
i donta have a good vga i have a x300 i wanna buy one but ?
8600gt (cheap for wait better options ) actual options i play in a resolution of 1280x1204 aa and fsaa high detalis its i want 8800gts - 8800gt or ? x2950pro or x3000 dunno the next code of ati for gpus ! sorry for the multy asks and the off topic !
An 8600GT/S will do you proud, unless you can afford to dig a little deeper and go 8800GTS 320MB or a GTX if you've got piles of spare cash. You'd be advised to hang fire though as a lot of new models are gonna make an appearance in early Nov (8800GT...new 8800GTS).....so best to hang off if you can.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
imho 8600GT is very good option, if OCed, and that should be "a must" here anyway, it can keep good fps on my 1680*1050 screen.
just played through EUF campain in SupCom with decent settings. Any shuttering in late stages, when dealing with ~1000 units was eliminated by stopping Boinc service lol...
Let me add some more results. :)
24/7 - 3.1 GHz / 1.4V (set in BIOS)

I can stabilize it @ 3.2 GHz, but had to run my Zal at higher rpm.

CPU-Z Validation
My memory is crappy, so the results aren't pretty good - 2*1 GB @ ~ 800 4-4-4-12 2T.
The stepping is : CCB6F 0715 TPWM.
Couldn't find a CCB8F in Bulgaria, but I happy with this one anyway. :D
Very good result Neverine  !
My previous X2 was also CCB6F and it clocked virtually same as yours. It could boot up to 3.3GHz but stability was good only below 3.2GHz.
Thanks :)
When I have some more time I'll try to squeeze some more MHz, but it seems the 8Fs are 'a lil' better...
btw I had some troubles running a CellShock DDR2 800 CL4(GMH based) on the system - it wouldn't post @ 1080 5-5-5-15 2.4V, despite the fact it was pretty stable @ 1066 4-4-4-12 2.4V and 1066 5-5-5-15 2.2-2.3V. A friend of mine also had problems running a D9 based SuperT on X2 3800+. Is the IMC working properly with D9 chips and if not - can you recomend me some RAM ? :)
Great results on a CCB6F Neverine, you're on the list :)
CCB8F 0737APMW Batch number 0359
this my result using 3800+
