So clock for clock Penryn scores slightly better on the Whetstone than Kentsfield?
Ah ok, you're right. Not that great for a SS cooled chip.
I got one killer E8500 here, runs 3,8Ghz at 1,15V... passive cooled
Yes that's right, it's a system w/o a single fan. Passive watercooling with a watertemp of approx 50C :D
Gotta try that one under my SS... if I only had the time ^^
Just got my Kentsfied rig together. Currently running @ stock speeds, but I will OC later.
Results:
Number of CPUs: 4
2358 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU
5346 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU
Do these seem OK for a Q6600 @ stock?
Erm... search the M$ download page? It's there somewhere, I downloaded it several times already. xD
Finally, one them arrived,:D:up:.
Asus P5NT-Deluxe(780i), reapers 5-5-5-15 at 1066, and Q9450 at 3.2Ghz, vista x64 sp1, boinc versoin 5.10.45.

Does anyone know or could try what a q8200 would get in boinc benchmark?
Someone have some results from the q9000 series?
:D:D I am just curious, gotta hold off Jcool somehow:ROTF::ROTF::rofl::up:
A q9300, running stock 2.5Ghz with 2gc ram 1000 on a g35 boinc client 6.2.18 with Vista 64 sp1 will do

kinda small upgrade so far versus my antique 2.4Ghz Barton 2300/4000 on WinXP 6.2.15
Edit: Goodnight! :)
Of-Ghost: imo, that seems a little low but maybe that just because its running on vista. i'm running an x2 @ 2.5ghz and my dhrystone is 5353. also i'm running 5.10.45 version of Boinc manager and my ram is 4x 1gb cas4.
i look forward to seeing results once its OCed
small update @3.0GHz and 750 CL4, still figuring out the dividerīs. I miss my K7 fsb divider :(

I can probably take this a little higher after I decide where it's going to live and get it off the kitchen table. :D
Loonym, is that Vista Home, Business, Ultimate, Tofu or ?? and which version of BOINC did you bench it with?
edit: Just saw you sig ... Vista Ultimate 64 then?
Yeah ultimate and boinc 6.2.19
On those numbers that machine is good for about 22k daily. ;)
X2 3800+ @ 3100mhz, 2GB DDR @ 250mhz, Vista x64 Home Premium SP1, BOINC v6.3.12

Benchies should be higher on Vista, esp. x64.
Which Vista, hawkeyefan? Home? Premium? Ultimate? Raspberry? Tofu?
