Hi there ppl,
Yesterday i've upgraded my bios to the 1102 Official with ASUS Update, then after restarting the system, i cannot even Post :( the system stops on "DRAM TESTING" (in the backplate LCD) and switches off itself... I've tried clrcmos, switching rams, etc, nothing worked...
Anyone with the same problem?

Just remove 3 of your 4 ram sticks and try.
Your memory voltage have probably been reseted to default stocks during the upgrade.
It's compatible termalrigh XP120 si with STRIKER?

I don't think so Voltalex the heatpipes are too high and too close to the CPU socket better go for the Ultra120 , that one fitted fine with me....
Does the Striker post with Q6600 and bios 0402 ?? thanks in advance Guys

Hey I just got this board (currently: Striker Extreme BIOS 1102) I also have a Conroe 6600 and TWIN2XP2048-6400C4 (2gig kit) RAM I got 2x Raptor X WD1500AHFD drives and a Zalman Resorator V2 for cooling (CPU block only ATM) I have an Asus 8800GTX (just 1 :( ) and I'm running Vista Hope Prem.
I'm VERY new to the whole overclocking scene so feel free to call me a nub, Ive read thru this VERY informative thread on this board/CPU combo and was wondering what you guys feel would be the optimal OC setting for the equip i listed above. I mostly have questions about memory timings/volatges and such but any additional info would be appriciated.

You are watercooling but I wouldn't push ya hardware too high on that Zalman setup and a 24/7 3 ghz ( so XS6800 speeds) is nice and will be very achieveable withotu any high voltage pumping... try these settings and see it they run , should be fast enough...

Mutang running which overclock ? I would opt for a fan on the NB and some good ventilation in ya case. I'm using 3 ghz as a 24/7 setting , once I start to bench and do more fun stuff I screw it up to 3600mhz and more...
what hardware are you running ? 39°C idle seems pretty high to me as the cores are already in the mid 40's then. What are the opt 1-4 ? temps maybe NB SB and PWMs ?

With the x 9.0 multiplier I can't do much and are not able to get 1600FSB even.
I already tried every bios but same results.

these settings should work with 9 x 400 ( all depends if ya CPU can handle that , most important is to bring up the CPU VTT to higher settings , mien would boot but was never stable below 1.40 CPU VTT... try the settigns with 8 X 400 and then let it test orthos during a few hours... if it passes bump up the multi to 9x might be that your cpu needs 1.5 real volts to get 3.6Ghz, the other settings work for most Striker boards with E6600 with 9 multi in use, just play with the Vcore a bit to get the CPU stable...
I run mine at 333FSB so the CPU is at 3ghz 24/7 , cpu can do that at 1.35 volts , I lower NB to 1.35 and 1.2 to 1.3 volts, CPU VTT at 1.3 ...

Multiplier 9x hangs on the loading screen.
Multi 8x works at least I'm in windows now will run orthos and report the results.
For some strange reason the board over clocks itself a little bit.

Looks like Core Temp reads the frequency incorrectly.
(I flashed the 1102 bios recently )
once you drop the multi only CPU-Z reads out the speed correctly, try to give more Vcore ( some need 1.5 - 1.55 real volts so 1.6 set in bios) and CPU VTT (1.5 ) and see if it boots into windows then...

Hmm.. I got the ballstix pc2-6400.. and e6600 and striker extreme...
I think I can push it to 3.3Ghz on 1.38vcore and memory running at 980Mhz fine... but once I put the fsb up over 1500... cpu 2 will always give errors...
still try to find something that's stable with 3.4... would 1.45vcore okay ? maybe I need to up my cpu vtt from 1.4 to 1.45 to see wats going on ?
the standard train of thought from what I have seen is anything under 1.7V true on the CPU is OK as long as you can manage the temps OK, as with anything in overclocking, all results may vary.
I run 3.6 with memory @ 1000 5-4-4-8 timings on 4GB on vista 64 with vcore in bios @ 1.4 (1.37 actual) so you just may have a not so great overclocker, my batch is L630BXXX on the E6600
Hmm.. yea on the striker extreme it does get hot on the nb... all the heatpipe are pretty darn hot ... my batch is L644G.. so it shouldn't be that bad..
I think im able to boot @ 3.6 but once i start doing orthos , it is not stable.. :\

Cooling on Zalman reservator 1 , 27c idle, 47 fully loaded.
Resulting is 3.4Ghz stable on Orthos for 17hrs..BUT...sometime my system will automatic restart itself.. or sometime when it restart itself, it locked up , I would have to power down and go into the BIOS again, and hit save and exit then it will go back to the 3.4Ghz.. Also..whenever I tried to open up Asus prob, it will not open and I can't even end task in task manager while it's using 50% of my CPU process..

Well firstly I think ya memtimings are way off mate 2-2-2 ????, I would onyl try to overclock the FSB of the CPU so keep that at 1511 and run the ram at 800mhz 4-4-4-12 settings...Also each mobo cpu is different so you need to find the sweetspot, because it works for Ninflas doesn't mean it will work for ya...plu spost ya complete hardware in the pc plz...

Hey everyone I'm having a few issues with my system which i built during the last week....Specs:
Striker Extreme 1102 BIOS
Core 2 Duo E6600 @ Stock
Corsair Dominator 2GB 8500C5D
Dual 74GB Raptors
1000 Watt Silverstone Strider(modular)..
Now for some strange reason i can't get my ram to run in dual channel mode....I know which slots i have to insert the ram into in order for it to run dual channel..but everytime i add a DIMM into any of the B bank slots the system doesn't boot....I've adjusted the voltage and everything but still the B bank isn't responding...I thinking that maybe its dead....so now i have the ram running in slots A1-A2...Has anyone got any ideas as to whats causing the problem....or is my asumption correct....I've tried almost everything that i can think about that would have an effect on the ram....Also both DIMMs are functional...Please can someone help me with this...thanks in advance...
