 for a great thread that has helped me numerous times while tinkering with my antec 900 case..
Thanks everyone involved !! :D
does anybody know how many Led's you can run off the mobo pwr led header?
I know my antec 900 doesnt have a pwr led - but i have an idea where i'd like to place one ( or several)
Hey... if anyone can answer me this question today that would be great..
The bottom two fans that came with the case (The HDD fan's) i guess you could call them... Well heres the problem, they are the male connections unlike the top and rear fan which are female connections... so i cannot plug the cords from my power supply(ThermalTake 750w Modular PSU)
So my question is.. do i need to buy some kinda adaptors(male to female adaptor ?) or is there some kinda 8 pin power cable i can buy to run from my power supply to these two fans ? What are my options ? Because i really need the 2 front fans working and im just kinda stumped on this.. even tho it's probably a very easy fix.
Thanks in advance.
Double ended. Yes..
Ok so is it possible that i have it hooked up wrong to the power rail ?
I have a modular thermaltake 750w psu.... Whats the best way to connect these ? currently i only have the rear exhaust and top fan working.. i need to rectify this when i get home from work :)
Yeah i think the psu rail that im using has the ends that will not connect to the fans.. should i be hooking this up different ?
ty in advance
on my 900 - all the fan connectors are 'piggyback molexes' you put power from psu in one side and it then the other side acts as a power supply to anything else you want to power via a molex conn - whilst the fans power lead runs down from inbetween either end of the piggyback conn

+1
I love this thread, and i got lots of inspiration of what to do with my Ninehundred.
This is my case at the moment:
I just couldnt get the beefy powercable on my Modstream to fit at the back of my case so it had to stay in the case :(
Next step is painting the door fangrill silver:)
Cheers
3M has a similar item if not the same in most hardwares. they have one under the name "decorating clips with Command strips".Quote:
What is that black thing you used to wire your fan on your side panel called?
My friend told me that the fan on top is useless. Is this true or is he lying?

Looks great I like how nice the HDDS are installed...but only 6? (JK)--the clips on the door are a great idea. Just a thought but see how it looks without the mesh grill removed--I found that it made my fan a lot quieter. Plus it's a shame to hide that pretty Aerocool.
