Looks good Durzel! Like you, I added some sinks on my mosfets (like the top of your pic) but still have the stock cooler on the others.

I've had this P5W64 board for a while now and am pretty happy with it. The problem I am having is with the manual ram timings. On air I can boot up to about 3.9 gigs. I'm stable at 3.6 or 3.7 depending on the fan and heatsink I use. The problem I'm having is that while I am completely stable at 9x400 using 1.45 volts Vcore and other voltage increases I cannot set the ram timings manually. I have to use the auto setting in bios. I've tried running memset and then just reproducing the timings manually in the bios and still no boot. This problem starts showing up somewhere in the mid 300fsb range. What am I missing?

I have kind of the same problem. My rams have no problems going to DDR2-1000 or DDR2-1068(4-4-3-4) at 356 FSB or below. (x9 multiplier)

However when i go to 400 x 9, it won't even post with DDR2-1000, Auto or any weak timings i set.

Yeah, but I'm not having a problem with the ratio at all. It's that I can't set timings regardless of ratio.

Where you posted "2x1G GSkill 6400 1.45v", Is that what you have your ram volts at??? 1.45? Shouldn't it be 2.0 or something? Maybe this is the prob?

Yep, sorry. Had them reversed. Fixed it.
Just tried the 0209 bios and same thing. If I so much as disable the "Configure DRAM by speed" setting I get no boot. That is without changing any of the individual timings. That is also with any speed selection.

Heh, had I looked what you put for Vcore I would have realized that;) Have you tried RD@7 & set to "standard" instead of "auto" or "turbo"? I don't have any good answers for you.

what voltage are you running your Vmch and Vdimm at?

Strange, mine does the very opposite. I must set timings manually or the board won't post. If I set the memory to run at SPD it will hang. I think the tREF is the setting to blame there, I need to change that to 7.8us from 15.6.

:confused: Hm, my RAM (CELLSHOCK) has 7.8 SPD but I changed it manually to 15.6 - board is booting fine and running like hell:

that is a problem with the bios and the memory "SPD" programmed on the sticks not being compatible!

Can someone please tell me the clockgen settings for PLL that work with this board, ive tried every sensor in the list and it instantly locks up if i change the FSB even 1mhz.

Use PLL 954123 and check the box "Ignore GSB/PCI".

However, even with clockgen and 1.80vmch i get instalocks at anywhere above 400fsb :/

I either really suck at overclocking or i got a dud board, im guessing its the first one :(

Under the chipset section of the bios, set Read Delay to 7T. That might help you.

Teamgroup 4-4-4-10 ddr800, but thats not the issue, even when i massively relax the timings and set the ram to the lowest dividor i cant get my fsb up.

I'm using BIOS 0301 and noticed that vcore in BIOS does not actuate above 1,65V

Means that from 1,65 up to 1,7 the vcore is the same (measured in MM and confirmed with temps and oc)

Is this typical of this board or is it a problem of this BIOS?

Yes, it's typical of the board. 1.65v is maximum regardless of bios setting.:(

Modded board will allow more than 1.65v. The problem is OVP. The board needs that mod for more voltage. AndreYang has fully modded board. He can get more than 1.7v.

My board is not modded, so I am in the same situation as you. With Vapochill, I can do 4650MHz with 1.65v. If I had 1.7v or more, I should be able to do 4.7+ GHz.
