Sweet, has anyone tried it? If you got the file and need/want a fast mirror, send me a PM.Quote:

I hope so too. MSI forum is like this forum and MSI has nothing to do with it. No one there works for MSI or represents MSI. Emailing MSI direct will do more good.Quote:

Anyone else having issues with powering on to a system hang if you wait like 8 hours. If I shut down and wait like 5 min the board fires right up, if I wait over night i get a sytem hang. Bios setting maybe?
This is funny, the MSI mod post pm him for a new bios and then he stays offline for 7 hours. I'm not sure why he just didn't post it.:(
Yea, I am waiting for the beta bios too. Gotta get off this POS 711 bios!Quote:

i was really looking forward to this board but unless a new bios that works well comes out soon I think I will go with either ds3 or possibly the foxconn 975xab
His PM Box is going to overflow! LOL.
I'll make a public folder on my site and host the BETA bios when I get the link and save it. I'll upload every official & beta release we get, so everyone will have a nice BIOS directory.
Thanks a lot :)Quote:

I have the 975x with an e6300 (oem) and I am having the same problems with the bios (incorrect freq. In bios, 12v rail going to 13+,temp showing 180c in pc alert ect.).
I had it clocked at 325 today for a few hours on air (thermo. probe showing only 39c) but programs started locking. I tried upping the voltage but it would not boot out of bios.
Now I cannot clock past 305 for some reason.
My 975 chip gets very hot to the touch and I had to hang a fan on it.
I cannot get my single w.d. sata 300mbs drive to run in sata mode (ide mode works ok but drive runs slow) on any of the ich7r sockets because the Intel sata/ahci floppy did not load properly on install (showed that it did) and when I try and install the Intel driver package in xp it says my computer does not meet specifications?
Right now I have the drive running on the Jmicron sata 5 socket but I would like to know why xp does not see the southbridge sata ports.(hope it's not hosed).
Did anyone notice that page b-9 in the manual shows a Intel iaa raid driver setup but it’s not on the disc?
I had a random reboot twice today as well (running only 300 fsb).
I am using 2 gigs of xms2 (ddr800) and a msi x1900xt.
I will post my cpuz and pi screens later tonight.
Just wanted to say hi. I will test anything I can on my setup to help get these things fixed.

Welcome to XS:welcome: If you are not using the 711 bios then that's your trouble. If you are you should be doing better. What psu? What volts on ram and cpu?Quote:

I have this MSI 975x conroe ready board now but no conore cpu yet!
My retailer here in OZ says end of Aug for my choice of conroe...:(
But for the present, I fired this board up yesterday with my old 641 cpu and note that the fsb tops out at only 266mhz maximum option. Could this be because it is a cpu with default 200mhz fsb?
I don't think this is right, the board has latest official MSI bios - v7.0, thats the one listed on MSI.au website.
your not the only one with that problem, its a screwy bios and they are working on a new beta one right now that we should be able to test hopefully tomorrow....
ok, thanks Core2Extremist. Another annoying and confusing thing is if you wanna boot from a Raid config on ICH7R. In boot options of bios, its not listed !!! when config from Intels Raid bios. arrrrrggggg. :stick:Quote:

As of right now with my current settings I have rock solid stability and zero issues clocking a retail e6700 for pretty much all its worth on cheap water cooling. I can't go higher as cpu temps are reaching 60c, however I do have a better block coming. After all this I can now say this board is alright. I'm wondering if chipset voltage raise as fsb go's up.
 Why would you want to make a thread for the best performance on a junk bios? Makes no sense to me.:shrug:Quote:

Using a hyper 580w psu.
I had voltage up to 1.31v at 330fsb. It will not boot from bios unless I power down (switch off psu) and re-boot (but it starts to run programs flaky). This is as stable as I can get it (see pics).
I think I need to up the 975x voltage to overclock more?
Is the 975x heat normal?
As of last night I am having a hard time booting from bios with any fsb change..
Also the Intel sataII drivers not loading is driving me nuts.
I paid for a 300mbs drive and can not run it at the speed in ide mode.
Being new to both Intel and ddr2 is not helping me at all. I also need to decide if I should rma the board to the egg by this week so I am under the gun to get it stable quick.
I only see 7.00 bios in the msi page.
Thanks.
