@ mattgmann:
Congrats on one of the golden chips, and good job following the rules - you're in!
Edit: okay, I believe operation "Clean Up" is a success! Now to add the pretty stuff, such as colour coding. :yepp:
Houston, we have a problem, though! SteveRo, your very top amazing 5200.7MHz submission would not show a screenshot anymore. Please work on getting it back, sir, otherwise how I can't really prove it was there in the first place.
OK here is mine, I have not tried to push further but I could try later

Read the rules.
1. 1024 mb used in linx out of 8 GB. Are you kidding me?
2. Who cares about cinebench.
First OC , I think setting are correct i did select the "all" for memory but not sure if i did it , 4Gb is installed ,
MB is a gigabyte H55N-USB3 , CPU (I3-560) is water Cooled , If Somethings wrong i will redo the Test :) .
Batch # L013B634
Intel Core i7 860 CPU
full batch number: L925B479
motherboard: Asus Maximus III Gene rev 1.00 (BIOS version 2001)
cooling: water; Magicool 480mm rad, Apogee XT block, Panworld 40px pump
It took me a while (I remember when this thread was new), but I finally got my i7 860 to clock 4.5GHz stable with the help of a mb BIOS upgrade!
Validation: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1584844

Had mine ready, but i can't post it since i only did 20 runs rather than 21,even though it took 90 mins to complete since i was using a 5 GB memory space, and yes,i do have even more memory installed in the system(12GB),but i'm sure as hell not looking at LinX for 3 hours for a 21 pass run using all 12 GB....:p:
Well .... it's very hot ... but it's the fastest yet :D
http://i56.tinypic.com/b7xgso.png
So is there going to be a 5Ghz thread now all these SB chips seem to be able to do that on air. Almost makes this thread out of date.
Shouldn't the list in the OP be updated already!
So if 4.5 was challenge for old i7s, and SB gets 5 on Air, what clocks would be challenge for SB? 5.2? 5.5? And foremost - should it be in separate thread/club? :)
Some people got to 4.5GHz using air cooling before SB.
I think 5GHz is fine, really. I mean, look at vCore, it's borderline dangerous 24/7 (and semi-typical for benching).
By the way, a few people killed or degraded SBs already on these forums using 1.5-1.6V. So watch out, people.
P.S. Not updating the OP yet. Nothing wrong with the latest submissions from what I've seen, though.
I agree it is still early with the release of these chips. The more average and below average ones are out there.
Time will tell how well these SB chips scale at 1.5+v vcore load and if they are durable enough to handle one to two hours of LinX stress at these high volts on air/water (1.45/1.475/1.50+ load).
My first try @ 4.64GHz. Had to pull 12 Gigs of RAM to speed things up a little.

If I could get LinX working I may be able to join this tread. Have read the readme and all the settings look right but it will not start stressing. Also wont stop when the stop button is clicked, have to exit from the file menu. Missing something simple I bet? Sorry for drifting off the main topic.
Edit LinX 0.6.3 works 0.6.4 doesn't.

Wow! This thread has been flooded with SB!
Same batch? Could you post the batch numbers and motherboard here please?
That's not typical for SB, but you are right the results may vary depending on the batch#, and you will probably get better OC when maturing BIOSes and MBs, after a little while.
The 5.5GHz would be a good challenge (and a exclusive) SB-club, otherwise it may get crowded fast. It should get it's own thread too.
Sam...Zalbard has alread updated the OP to require 5GHz+ for SB
baddest batch till now :p
My Dlx board easily goes to 4.8 with the 2600K, but it gets far too hot when stressing for my taste( 85°C ). Benched with the same board at 5.2Ghz with other CPUs... These 2 CPUs are real duds. I really hope that if someone else gets that batch, he would be more lucky. Luckily the buyers only want 4ghz stable  Will test them on the GB mobo this week...

1.Nice job advertising you are running pirated illegal version of windows. Just messing with you I don't really care just not sure I would advertise it on a public forum.
2. Turn hyperthreading off because LinX does not stress the cpu correctly with it turned on.

How do you know that is pirated ?

Great chip btw
I could but I figure as SP1 is now out & I am now using it I don't really count them as entry's... sure they were all run before SP1 went gold so made the criteria of the day but I bet I couldn't pull 5.3GHz on air!!! with AVX.
I know I've said it before but great club

I was close to successful run but the NB overheated :)(it was on stock cooling). That was only 1 try didn't try for lower VCore(1.504 load) or higher frequency(cause of the high FSB). I hope to complete it successfully next time when I have more time to play :P.

The OP has been updated! Good job, everyone, and welcome to the new members. :)
Great formatting. Please read the rules once again, though, LinX has to be running in order to join. :)
Please read the rules, also. Added a big red part, hope it's gonna help avoid this.
Holy cow, what kinda cooling are you running there?!
That's would be my suggestion, also.
You can run it at, say, 4.2GHz, let it finish, then use some utility (like CPU Tweaker) to OC it to 4.5GHz, and take a screenshot. Then claim that LinX is terrible at utilising HT, or whatever (hence low GFlops). Basically, an easy legitimacy check. :)
Just set it to 21 pass, and take a screenshot a couple of seconds after it's done with the 20th pass, job done!
