I talked to the guys at Fry's, looks like E6600 coming in 8/10. I believe Outpost.com is shipping them the following monday. There are plenty of options available by next week so let see if the egg learn its lesson from today.

I want a e6300 for my office rig, but want to spend max 209, no CA tax and free shipping. So I'm on the hunt!
For a Retail E6600?Quote:

Tell me about it lol, every resellers are on the west coast. I have no choice either way but I rather find one with the best return/refund policies.Quote:

That being said I suspect they had everything but the 6600's in stock, but couldnt say for certain.
Any chance for e6600 to emerge sometime this weeket, retail version.
im very dissapointed in CLubit. I get a phone call 30 min ago (7:50 EST) from fernando telling me that there is a "problem" with my order. he said intel never sent them the retail E6600's and they only have oems... BS. he said he can give me a $10 discount and drop the overnight shipping fee they charged me. i told him ill take it. $329 for an E6600 OEM with overnight shipping. i guess its not so bad...
Yeah i saw this review a while ago, but... i thought he was being sarcastic :confused: or is just stupid?, i dont get it.Quote:

It looks like they are charging $419 for the E6600Quote:

420 for 6600. Not too bad, not great.

I contacted them through their.. online contact thing. Asked if they *actually* had stock, and if I ordered, when it would ship. Will update when I hear back (if).
$329/free overnight for an OEM e6600 is a great deal...Quote:

The answer is yes to PCClub, 63's and 64's only, so far. The 6400 was way overpriced; $329. I didn't even ask what the 6300 was.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fry's is having that $499 Bad Axe/6400 deal. I'm tired of waiting and picked that up. not a great deal, but not outright theft, either. Figure 250 for the retail CPU, $250 for the mobo. I may return it. We'll see, I have 15 days to see how the chip does in my DS3 ( and test the Bad Axe ).
$419 is somewhat tempting as otherwise I am spending $96 for an 805 to use for the week or so till Tankguys can get it in (assuming the distributers actualy start getting processors and its not just those who have direct access to Intel)
My 6700 from ClubIT has shipped. I ordered it Saturday. YAY.
Microcenter is interesting because they're NOT in CA and I won't get charged tax.
Its not a matter of if you win or not. You can get it done with one call if you approach it correctly. Otherwise prepare to get hung up on 10 times first. Possibly even having to write a letter to get the attention of somebody that matters. Your wasting your time. You might get lucky in 1 or 2 calls but don't hold your breath. Crying like a baby rarely helps.Quote:
Right JR because you have so much experience doing this, correct? :rolleyes: Tell ya what, dont crap on what works for me and others... You go support newegg, maybe even be polite and still take it in the ass for the obsurd pricing. Im sure they will place you on their xmas list.:slap:Quote:
Their a good etailer except when you need an RMA. They seem to really be sticking it to ZZF, Monarch and the Egg.Quote:
OK, The Norcal Fry's (probably all of them) Had the E6300 and E6400's in stock. No 6600's though.
E6300 was for $229
E6400 was for $299
But they had 2 combo deals: (not their best price though)
E6400 and Intel X975XBX rev 3.04 combo for $499
E6400 and Abit AB9 Pro for $449
still high compared to the online retailers.
Yes sir! Now say "Power of the consumer" in Latin for us. :)Quote:
I wonder when they will be available for sale
e6700 up to $699 at newegg
Don't know what's so hard about getting a hold of a E6600? Everyone seems to have boatloads of Allendales, but no Conroe. Wth...:(
yup seems they change prices every time they take a leak lol
Oddly enough Newegg has the x6800 for 1159.00, eta of the 9th. Really wierd considering how off the other prices are.
Retail E6400's are now available at TigerDirect.com $269.99
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...557&CatId=2396
Still cheaper at ewiz
They UPPED the price on the 6700? 599USD is outrageous to say the least. The price they had BEFORE was allready pretty damn steep.
Jeez.... I think il just wait a week or two and let things calm down, then get one at a decent price without all the backordering and whatnot. This isn't worth all the hassle.
I thought 568.00 was manufacturer retail.....Quote:
There's no way that price will survive past the first 2 weeks, as more retailers get the chips in stock, so I can only assume this is deliberate price-gouging by Newegg. Pretty damn ruthless. Its a free market so they can do whatever they want, but it sure as hell dosn't show any kind of "we care about our customers" attitude. More like "we exploit our customers" :(
very truly yours,
ouchh. sorry man.
Yeah they suck
They got great pickings in the AMD days. i see their Intel stockings pretty much suck. Serves em right though. Sorry to hear about your delay. You should cancel and purchase elsewhere.
Monarch creates enough delays on their own, I'd cancel too.
Cancel an order from Monarch? ROFL, dream on! His money is long gone. Sorry bro.:mad:Quote:
P.S. Ewiz is great. I live in northern california and just with regular shipping my order arrived next day at my house. So if I have to pay tax I'm always going to buy from them.
Do what most people do. If the pricing is absurd don't buy it. Losing money hurts the higher ups more than crapping on the pee-ons.Quote:
I don't understand all the hate for Newegg. So they are charging a higher price than the competition. So what. Don't buy from them. That is the essence of our economic system.
In the mean time, ClubIT lied about the "in stock" status of their retail Conroes, is ignoring e-mails, and won't even answer the phone. Monarch is also apparantly jacking around their customers. We should vent our anger at those who truly deserve it.
If ClubIT offers to send me an OEM chip for $10 off, I'm going to tell them to stick it up their :banana: :banana: :banana: . If I ever get in touch with them, I'm going to cancel my order and buy from someone who doesn't :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana: with their customers.
