Hi Ket thanks for the tip, one question though :) whats LLC?
cheers

LLC = load line calibration (the setting that eliminates vdroop)
@cryptik yeah im not using occt to read voltages i was just curious as to what they were. i tried lowering vPLL and vFSB but nothing changed . i had my PLL@1.56 and tried 1.50 in bios but occt didnt change also when i ran occt the one that is 1.16 drops down to 1.09/1.10. thanks for your help
great thank CryptiK
I'm considering this board, and I'm wondering if the two orange SATA ports can be used with two HDD's without using RAID? Since the port behind the 90 degree angled one can't be used when a large graphics card is installed, this is sort of important for me.
I think it could be NB or FSB termination voltage. The SB has only couple of settings 1.10-1.40 and the increments are 0.10 volts. Atleast in 1306 BIOS they are. The 1.66V could be CPU PLL Voltage as it looks like it could fit in the envelope or it could be the NB.
Hmm... maybe if you force a 90 degree cable in there. Though it may look like the ram slots are in the way for that. If anyone could try and see if it's possible to squeeze a cable in there, I would grealy appreciate it!
They have duplicated my issue WOOT!! I am waiting for them to see what the issue is now they think it is driver related but I changed the drivers to be the right ones because Vista installs ICH9 drivers by default and I installed the ICH10 drivers my self and it still happens so, I told the guy that info and he is looking into it as well as his boss as this point.. I am so happy now it has been duplicated and I am not crazy any more...
Well you can plug a 90* sata plug into it, just tried for you as my board is ready to be RMA'd, it does clear the dimm slots. the cable routing may look ugly but it should be ok.
That's great news. Thanks guys! I have 6 SATA harddrives and 1 eSATA harddrive, and I would hate to lose one of them. Guess I can go ahead and order myself this board now..
so....1402 is worse than 1306 for OC and stability??
Is it true that this board is not good for quads?
Also, does it have 2.0 x16 PCI-E?
Hmmm, I'm Still kinda worried since it would be a huge waste of cash if it did not, esp looking at the reviews on newegg and my personaly experience with this memory and x48 chipset.
I can run 3400MHZ stable with only 4GB, but as soon as I add another 4Gb I become unstable in burn test. This is at only 425 FSB, causing me to back it down to 400FSB and 3200 MHZ if I want to run all 8 GB of memory. It SHOULD work with 8GB on this board as well, but I was not able to get it to. I didn't play with the mem timings because it SHOULD be able to run at regular listed speeds at only 425 MHZ since its rated for these speeds at 500FSB as a "kit".... I'll have to wait till someone tries all 8 GB of this stuff, im not wasting anymore money until It is verified the P45 chipset (and this board in particular) plays nice with 8GB, or at least nicer than the X48 chipset.
