Love the PCMark05 Steve!
Yeah man, I gotta say I have 3 Uncles (well 2 actually) and its kinda ironic because my favorite uncle is not even related to me and he never ceases to amaze.. We're talking about you Steve. Between uncle steve and uncle fester I have 4 uncles. But uncle steve is the one that can truly pull off pc mark records. steve just ask fugger to change your login to "uncle steve". Im surprised it hasn't happened by now.
Steve, my raid0 is on my xeon rig right now and I want to move it over to the BD FX8120 rig and do some real pcmark. I just backed it up using the win7 backup. I wanna test this 990FX ud7a board since it has 16/16 and I have been limited to x16/x4 or x8/x8 with the lsi card. I dont even know how the lsi will play on this board. my past experience with amd chipset has set the pci x16 to only recognize gfx cards. should I take each m4 off and plug in off the board and secure erase or can I just go straight in and reinstall windows over that past intel win install?
you too good stevo!
the board infront of me is tempting me to run it under cold lol, ddr2 love? :D
still celeron'in it ::ROTF:
then i'll join the hw oc bits...on ddr3 clockin..it seems fun just gettin the megahurtz :D
I moved the raid and 6950 over to the FX-8120 rig.

Good job!
But... are you using a book as a motherboard stand? Could have at least picked something worthless, like a phone book (they're a bit softer and make better mobo stands) :D
Good morning Mr. Trans am,
You can call me uncle just don't call me late for dinner!
For me, in pcm05 seems like 8x vga only impacts graphics memory and even then only at high cpu clocks and with 6970, ymmv though.
For pcm05, don't forget to limit your xpstartup to under 220. Many different ways to do this, lately I have been using iometer through a .bat. Use the 2004 version of iometer so you can adjust and save your config file, set the test to run for 20-25s, use 32MB seq read, 1 per worker and add/remove workers to get just below 220. :)
re: hwbpt oc comp
so its ddr1 and drr2 for me? lol
ddr3 seems to be well taken care by the zeneffects and gfoyles
Yes! ;)
Im gonna blame Don_Dan for ddr2 mess lol
**btw Don_Dan, I'm using your avatar for this :D
im wondering if i should go all out on ddr1, my energy is dwindling down...
ddr400 cl1.5 rams are sweet. but i don't think the motherboard will be prepped in time.
Team.XS FTW :D

Nice work Honda! You put any vaseline in the ram slots?
nope just eraser lol, lots of eraser. just enough to seal the dimm 3 empty dimm slots. it was a 15minute bench if its wet, its wet. it will dry soon.
ddr1 clockin
20% overclock lol, 200fsb x 1.2 = 239.5 lmao
last place in the competition lol.

Blame it on me! :p:
Really well done, I'm glad everything worked out so well!
Were the mods correct and helpful as well?
Not sure if you guys have seen these tweets by HWBot crew:

Congrats to SteveRo for finally hitting the magic 50k as well! :up:Quote:
Hondacity in particular is going crazy in this month's HOC. 300MHz CL2 and almost 800MHz CL4 validations. Just... fb.me/TDxEYTT4
Asus P4C800, sweeeeet board!
Cpu Vcore-Vdroop mod helped alot. 1.66v would drop to 1.54v, modded 1.7 was rock stable. Cold also stabilized it. So I had insurance with the subzero cpu.
Vdimm mod, almost went messy, I covered(heatsink) the mosfet which had the read point. Good thing pin1 on the 184pin was available for read point.
Corsair ddr1 was a 512 double sided rams...was for amd, didn't scale well with the voltage.
Geil One sticks were 256mb, they were unused from the seller. Super Rams :D
Another note:
Stock fsb is 200, using setfsb inside windows to nudge that to 201 is impossible
Setting fsb to 201 in bios then using setfsb for 202-305fsb is then possible. Totally freaky: 201fsb jump to 290fsb is cake :D
Two days benching two different platforms with XS mods forums. I love this forum
Good morning Mr. Honda -
You need to delete a few PMs - "Hondacity has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space"
