Could u upload BIOS 1203?

So, is there any hardware changes on rev 1.04G??
In short I still live in the world of 1005. 1102 hardly reach and now 1203. Gosh, do i miss anything.
So I ordered my R3e, and koolance fullcover block. Putting a 940. Then a 970 in it when it arrives.
I've been browsing the thread but this a lot of info here to sort through is there any primer or anything i should know before i really start working on it?

Return to sender, buy an evga classified 3, or a gigabyte ud3r/ud5/ud7.
At this point in time, R3E is really a piece of $#!+ board. I'm really upset with the lack of control. :upset:
It's missing crucial overclocking controls, and it's gimped significantly because of it.
Not to mention ASUS is hiding secret behaviors of the board from us, so we can't properly setup the BIOS. :brick:
Seriously, stay away from R3E if you're a real overclocker. :caution:
Why are you always doing the same thing, asking people why they want/need new BIOS?
I also like to test new BIOS'es, as I like to overclock and test new hardware.
Maybe he (or me, or anybody else) is not having a problem, but even so, new BIOS might bring some improvements we are still not aware of, like QPI PLL, or something, so we could run same OC at less voltage.
Then I would say that old BIOS'es have a problem. ;)
Don't be so harsh. :) It is one of the best boards out, many records broken, many satisfied OC'ers.
I would like QPI PLL too, but I'm folding@home 24/7 now at 4.5GHz and I'm pretty satisfied.
No matter what I do, I get GPU driver crashes above 3.8ghz on my R3E.
I tested the same GPU's in a UD3R - no problems. Both my i7's do 4.5ghz at 1.35v on the UD3R. I can't get above 4.2GHz on EITHER chip on my R3E, and it needs 1.39v to do on the R3E. NB/SB temps never go above 60C full load.
A few boards that perform exceptionally well with exceptional chips doesn't make this board a good board. It needs to do well with most chips, which it can't, because of lack of QPI PLL control, and who knows what else.
Ok how many RE3. Do you have or have tested. ? Just the one or multiples?
All the pc components are variable.
90% good results is a good board to me.
I have a dud of a video card that 95% of the people who reported owning it get better results. It works exactly in spec but i try to push it its horriable.

i am sick of reading posts or pns with the title or subtitle

3 choices
1.
Wait of official release
2.
Call ASUS and bit them to send you bios xxxx because you cant sleep without testing new bioses
3.
Respect others they wont btw cant share beta bioses
try to respect the 3 choices
@Fire4wire Then why are you showing off a alpha/beta bios if you dont want or cant share it ? What do you expect people to do then ?
You need attention ?
nono i will show that asus is working on newer bioses
if i find an new option i will inform you btw the forum
but i think i wont do this in future
Please clam down guys.
If Fire4Wire don`t want or can`t share the latest beta bios with us is his/her choice.
BIOS 1203 download will be available on the internet for us at some point so we just
need to be patient for a bit longer.
I find it hard to believe 90% are having "good" results. If good results=4.2ghz maybe so, but this is not a 4.2ghz board, nor is it in the 4.2ghz price range, almost any X-58 now can get you 200-215bclk.
It is full of good features with an almost perfect layout, however I have seen quite a few that have issues, myself included.
I would certainly agree. My board can hold this 920 at 4500 at a much lower voltage then others but that is about it, my P6T can go much further at half the price. You need a 980X or perhaps a good unlocked xeon to take better advantage of this board.
+1 OC_Nub this is a 6ghz board, just alike your Xpower. (my board is toast since 1.3bios) I'm having a similar discussion in the AMD section (CH IV vs Extreme board) : On the box it says extreme, it says developed for extreme overclocking, really which is neither air nor water... Plus the multitude of biosses are no good. Better divide them into LN2 biosses and daily user biosses... some are using the LN2 biosses for daily and vice versa... For daily clocks you can settle with P6T DLX, UD5/7, no need for RE III, nor UD9, nor classified series.... you just need a good and willing CPU to get you far...
We discussed your issue and Zsams at the tech conference. They were surprised anyone had these issues at 215Bclock... I hope Bingo13 can work something out for ya...
I may try the RIIIE again this weekend, it acts a lot like the XPower. The problems seems similar, but with some work the XPower is doing better, maybe the same method will work for the Rex3.
Thanks for looking into this, I really appreciate the time and effort.
Smoking Man, with the beta BIOS. You know where to find me. Over and out. Alpha screwball, grapefruit, Jumping Bean.
For crying out loud !.. i just cant get my system to run stable @ bclk 215 and above.. ive tried everything posible.. every cpu setting, volts up and down..driving me nuts ffs
I give up on this chip i have.. Damn this i7 920 to hell
So, what chip should i get ? Im leaning to i7 950, Xeon ? or wait for SB ?
My 920 is in the same boat with 216 as max on this board. I am going to try a 3570 xeon next which has a unlocked multi, should do better.
