what would yield better results
425 x 9
or
465 x 8
what would yield better results
425 x 9
or
465 x 8
roughly the same but the 465x8 would allow for a higher FSB.
ill try increasing the volts, but i thought the volts for vcore and NB were already high for just 3.2 Ghz, i dont remember my VID but i remember it being low, ill come post it after i see again tonight, i mean what arent my vcore and NB volts for that low of an overclock? anyone recommend me calling asus to see what that beeping and "reserved" message meant?Quote:
Im guessing you are gonna have to up your voltage. It says the RAM requires 2.2v to run at 1066 but all sticks are different and it may require you to up your NB and CPU volts a bit if they are drawing more power to RAM. So if its randomly picking cores to use for Prime then its not getting enough juice to run all 4 ?
Give it a try
Everytime I boot up I get the det. dram. error when I boot up above 440 fsb. I know it's not my memory that limiting me because I can get to 5-5-5-12 @ 1200 2.2v. Also it's not my proc because i can get my proc to 3.8 ghz on other mobos. Could you help me? This is my setting-

From what I can tell my problem was the vDroop pencil mod coming undone... oops! :P
Whenever I try to format my usb drive to be bootable it fails. Any hints on how to make it work?
cajer, try disabling transaction booster and set relax to 1.
Anyone else had problems with the soundcard (SupremeFX)? Worked perfectly, but after I reinstalled my system in a new case it wont work. The "logo" lights up and the system identifies the card, but I can't hear anything. Any suggestions?
I disable the transaction booster and set relax to 1, but I still get the det dram error and it does not boot.
Can someone post their settings with the Rampage bios mod with a Q6600 o/c'd more than 3.6ghz plz.
Does anyone know of issues or problems running an 9800GX2 on this board?
how are you trying to format it ?
you need to use the hp format tool; not the one built into windows.
I am using the hp format tool it gets 4/5 of the way done. Then it says "Failed to make the device DOS-bootable".
No problems with the 9800GX2 so far for me.
There is no indication of what version BIOS ROM file is on the ASUS supplied DVD for the Formula Rampage that I just received. The DVD is rev.362.01 and also has "M1307" written on it. But even in the file which lists the files on the DVD (including itself), it does NOT list the FORMULA.ROM file and thus does not indicate its version.
If someone wants me to upload my FORMULA.ROM file from the Rampage Formula Motherboard DVD, I'd be glad to do it..
edro
try this:
right click on the usb drive, and format it (ie, erase all data)
once done, extract the files from this zip:
http://rapidshare.com/files/10438042...--DOS.zip.html
voila.
Still does not work. :( Do you think I could boot from a cd and put he mod on that?
