1306 and 1201 overvolts the same for me if i set in bios 2.00v for memory = 2.04-2.06 full load.
Well after a long prime i decided to stop it as this is good enough for stability for 24/7. Also in picture is the IDLE right after shutting down Orthos. Also the Minimum temp in Realtemp is not right i accidently closed it and opened it during testing as the minimum should be 30C as that is the IDLE temp.
Now can i be classed as being in the 4.0ghz and Above Club? .... :)

I like speedstep for the cpu heat reduction, I'm on air and maxed @ 3.6 its running in the 50s to 60. Most of the time its at x6 which is 2.7 and just faster than stock max for the cpu, and in the 40s
I'm needing 1.33475 volts for this chip (week 803), and the CF gpus are toasty in the case even with the fan set at 40%. They noticeably heat the room up. The case has 2 exhaust 2 intake and 2 on the heat sink, noctuas P and S. Love the GPUs though - the only downside is their fan noise/heat
whit T:E:C Cooling an low vcore ;)
Nice OC Martin.v.r
Now lets see some 12-16 hrs of prime blend... :)
Well my board now won't let me POST when ram is set anywhere above 1199 MHz. It's got worse, and I think it's dying. I'm sick of the ram & random bios corruption issues I'm having, so I put in my RMA today. As the process will take 1 - 2 months, I will have to buy a new board as I need it daily. I'm still trying to decide which board I'll get in replacement, and also what to do with the P5Q-Deluxe I get back. I'm a bit down about it, but hardware is getting more and more poorly made, even some 'top-end' boards are having major problems, like heatsinks not contacting mosfets and the NB, resulting in failures within minutes of starting up for the first time and 100*C+ board temps etc, so it's just something that we have to put up with these days I guess. It is pretty disappointing to see this kind of thing from companies today, especially considering the price we pay for these boards. All I can do is hope my replacement board is not dodgey like the one I have now.
Nice result mate, what are your temps on the T.E.C?
@BeastNotro - good to see you finally got your 8600 up and running, hope you have some fun with it. Your initial results look good.
Is there any way to enable Speedstep in Vista if I'm using 8x multiplier with my Q6600? Speedstep only works when my multiplier is in Auto (6x/9x)
set multiplier 8x and C1E Support enabled... I have no problem with it - Vista64, e8500:)
Those with problems pushing Ram above 1200, are u giving a bit more vNB? That could help.
from foto in #3512 fun test whit T:E:C 266W,have take it of again
4.8GHZ 0/2c load
5.0GHZ -12c an a big fan on the watercooling, no foto here sorry
all over 480x10 i can not use strap 400 whit lov volt set on mem:down: if i set volt to men on 2.5+ i can
i use strap 333
Hi has anyone got the q9650 can boot and pass intel burn in 50 times but when I come to playing a game it. Blue screens what could be problem I'm using 468fsb x 9 1.41 vcore
lol that sounds like my issue. Can you by any chance get 1199 (bios) stable? I can, but as soon as I increase it to 1200, it will not even POST. Major problem there obviously.
Also are you on the P5Q-Deluxe?
**After reading through the M2F thread (most of it anyway) I don't think I even want a M2F anymore. The M2F bioses dont have PL manually adjustable, and dont have clock skew etc adjustments. You have to flash it to the Rampage bios to get those adjustments, which is insane considering how much those damn boards cost - I would have thought they'd have more options than the P5Q-Deluxe but they actually have less.
Also the amount of people with weird instabilities, inability to go above 450 FSB with dual core wolfdales, the now famous 'DET DRAM' error, 3D apps and Vista Aero theme causing bluescreens despite the system being otherwise stable, and massive ram incompatibilities, make me not want that board in a big way. There are also a large number of people on their 2nd and 3rd boards and still having various issues. Quite honestly they look like overpriced, flakey, crap. Maybe the P5Q-D's are better?
im on a plain P5Q.
i easily run 499fsb 5:6 1199ddr CL555-15 PL9 on only 2.1v 24/7 prime blend stable for hours on end, OCCT stable, memtest86+ stable for hours on end including just looping test #7 for hours on end, etc.
but it wont even post @ 500/1200 CL555-18 PL10 :shakes:
dropping down to 1:1 i can post and bench upto 540/1080.
tried Ket's m1306, didnt fix it.
That is EXACTLY what my board does. Rock stable at 499/1199 but as soon as I go to do 500/1200 i get black screen and no post. Damn annoying isn't it? I'm RMA'ing my board because of it. Says on the box my board can do DDR1200, but no way in hell will it do it, no matter what divider or FSB or strap or bios version I use. It has driven me insane.
Oh and I have 4 kits of ram that all do DDR1300+ so it's not them, definitely the board.
EDIT - only difference between you and I is I can load windows and bench at 590 FSB 1:1.
I think most people are pretty happy with the P5Q deluxe and its always got great reviews, unfortunatly it seems you got a bit of a dud... its always a hard call deciding what to do while something is away for an RMA holiday... Thats how I ended up with my P5Q-D, my 680i started playing up and needed a checkup.
Personaly If I was you id just get a base P5Q or something 2nd hand to tide you over til your new hopfully fixed board comes back (hopefully quickly) as it wont be long before everyone is tempted by x58 boards and you may kick yourself for dropping $400 on another board just before they are out.
Yeah I must have got the worst P5Q-D ever made it seems. I have no idea how long the RMA process will take, being in Australia it could be months (I hope not) and I have heard horror stories of Asus being very slow, and have had confirmed that they are also sending out refurbished and/or returned boards to you until you RMA 2 or 3 times whereupon they finally send you a new board. That is a very dodgey practice indeed.
Yes, I have tried every frequency possible all the way up to 1333 lol. That's why I'm insane. I finally got it to boot and load windows at DDR 1333, and DDR 1317, that's it, nothing else works. now I however I cannot do it again, nothing over 1199 works now.
With same BIOS and config ? wtf happens with this mobo then?
ive tried every bios, all have this bug.
im currently running Ket's m1306.
ive tried 501/1203, and a ton of other combinations above 1200, tried jumping to 1278 as someone mentioned that worked for them, but still no go.
lower fsb combinations for 1200ddr, no go.
its as if its completely locked out, or non-existant.
Ket's mBios replaces the entire memory table, youd think that would fix it, but no. it must be locked out somewhere else, there is no reason why this board cant do 1200+DDR :shakes:
U could post on Asus P5Q Deluxe official forum and see what they say.
- Iīve just checked and itīs fallen lol.
