I meant every quarter new mobo released... which is faster. My neo2 served me well for 2.5 months of heavy oc and still going :D and now is neo4....Probly will last for 3months?

Either the ocz vx or rev 2, you guys have any thougts on this matter.. Seems to me the higher fsb speeds on the rev2 gives it an edge in bandwith...

Dunno about them, perhaps they are math impaired, 1.55x36% = 2.108 to be exact. That's the max in my board at least ;)

Somehow one of my muskin bh5 died at 3.4v, makes errors on fixed adress. i dont hope this also reason for new revision. mine is A00. can somebody explain difference beetween A00 and A01 ? Looks like the Ultra already does have Rev. A02. im thinking about sending mobo back. cause my VX come from RMA and i dont wanna let them die again.

:confused: If Ya RAM is faulty it is not the board and if Ya board is faulty it is not the RAM - so best will be to check the RAM on another board....

damn! I asked zzf to email me when the DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR was back in stock. Just booted up, checked the email, and they said they had it in stock. Went right to the page with my credit card in hand, and it is already back ordered again! Damn it! Eh I guess I can wait though. No PCI express graphics yet. Gotta wait for the tax return check in mid Feb to buy 2x6800gt's.

And they mention us too @ Anandtech.

:( Man - makes me feel sad to here that - these times are hard and I really do not understand the behavior of resellers - this is a big chance to make money - thousands of people want to buy.........., and nothing is available.

Reminds me to the commies - they also have to preorder everything and then waiting years for it.............

The Ram was running stable on the DFI , raising voltage to 3.4 somehow broke it. already checked on other board.

And DFI has received the SLI certificate from nVidia:

BTW - not understandable for BH-5, myself pluged in some 2 weeks ago and running fine with 3,9 Vdimm at 2-2-2-5 / 275 MHz...........

heh lol i ran 4v according to ddr booster but my rails was overvolting so the voltage was 0.1-0.2 over what the led displayed :cool:

:D My booster on NEO2 goes up to 4,1 Vdimm and my rails are overvolting, too........., but no need to, BH-5 on that board is maxed out stable at 275 and my lovely CORSAIR do that with "only" 3,9.

watch out at newegg. They got a big shipment of DFI boards today. Yesterday they only carried 2 DFI boards, but today it shows various boards added like socket 775 and 754 boards. Perphaps they are getting ready to upload the Nf4?

Yeap that 12V rail is quite low I reckon. BTW how come is ITE working fine? in my case it just shows some crazy temperatures like 90 degrees celsious, etc

during testing in the cellar with the boxed cooler, the temps looked realy god, like you can see on the pic above.
but now after installing the watercooling setup, the temps increases
at the moment i get these temps (idle / all default):
cpu: 33°
pwmic: 44°
chipset: 42°
the cpu temp doesn´t look bad, but the others are too much.
this evening i run 3dmark2001 one time with 290x9 2,5-4-4-8 1T
and ITE show me pwmic and chipset temp in the red area.

now in idle my chipset temp is 42° and the chipset fan runs with over 7000 upm :stick:
i need a watercooler block for the chipset very soon :toast:

edit: sometimes the 12v rail goes down to 11,39V :eek:

No need to mod a WB on this chipset , i use the 120x120 fan blow into this chipset and my vids , the temp decrease too low and never get above 40'C even when i run benches

Also...well.."1000s of people wanna buy"...thats right....and if they (ZZF) have, say, 200 boards in stock...well 200 will get it and 800 just need to be quicker :) This item is highly in demand (d*mn bet ya)...and if it comes in stock at ONE reseller only dont expect it to be there waiting for you when you have time to check your mail.

I do, however, have to admit that i lucked out (well, i got the ultra, seems they had much more ultras in stock anyway) because i read some thread and all of a sudden someone posted...and basically 5mins after they had in in stock i RUSHED down the stairs to get my wallet.

I had another order lined up at ncix. So...even if i had been late...i still would've gotten the once from ncix. So..stop :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:ing. If you want something really BAD than i am sure you will get it.

my "old" enermax 430 i sometimes think handles better then my fortron 530w... but as a 20pin psu with only 18a on the 12v i would be worried as well..

Just recieved my DFI-SLi-D! Friend of mine was in Hong Kong this past week and grabbed it for me! The board looks sweet. Mine is a Rev A01. Will get it installed tongiht. Should be fun....

Just waiting on Fed Ex to get here with my 850XT PE today.

Specs are A64 3500+ Winchester, 1GB G.Skill LE, DFI SLi-D, (2) Maxtor SATA 120GB drives, XP-120, Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS, ATI Theater 550, ATI 850XT PE, Dell 1905FP, Logitech Z-5500's, Plextor 716 DVD Writer and Sony 16x DVD Drive.

Hopefully this 3500 does better than my last 3 3200's and 3000. Its a 0501, but who knows...

Will post tonight after I get it setup.

Shoot an email to DFI. As I said before, all boards sold in Hong Kong are of RevA01. Maybe a new board owner from US can tell us their board revision. Let's see if BigToe's 20 components changes have made it into a new revision.

I have asked the same questions, both my new boards are A00 and i have been assured the boards have the ECR although some boards have been shipped witht he 119 bios. I must stress to you that you MUST flash to the 125 or later bios before you do anything else.

Boards in the US aparantly have 125 on already so you should be good to go. I have 131 if its not already been posted up.

Newegg just got the DFi mobos in.....DFI nF4 DR-SLI

As a matter of fact my board (Ultra-D) is revision A00 and came with the 119 bios. I have flashed it to 2.01 and the only thing I noticed is the Enable bank interl. in the memory section (of course now the bandwidth is even bigger than before). Don't think that my board is a beta. Delighted with DFI support.. so many BIOSes in so little time :toast:

Well it's not time to start with the complaints, but I have a very odd one here.

I have been using the Ultra-D with the XP installation I got from my MSI Neo2. My HDD is a Raptor 74G. The thing is, I cannot install windows under any circumstanses! Even by starting the installation from windows or from a bootable CD!!! it will always stop at "setup is now... your hardware"!!! Even an hour ago it could not even BOOT when I had my raptor connected to the Sata channel 1.

Yes I have changed the channels, yes I have loaded optimized settings, yes I have tried another cable! After 30 minutes or so of PURE maddness, it started working again! With my old installation of course, I still cannot install windows again!!! Shocking!

Any ideas?

could be mem issue.

My mem is the OCZ VX, so I doubt there is any problem with the memory and as I already stated, I have tried the optimized-default settings, no oc, no nothing!

Oh- I hope this isn't an issue with the Raptor, cos I have one too (a Raptor, not the DFI board- yet) :( Read something about issues with NF4 and Maxtor SATA's

:( Hm - not sure this will help, but I had some issue like that on my NEO2 - it was a faulty BIOS version which made Windows unable to load the SATA storage controller from the extra disk at setup. I tried 10 times - no go.
Then I swiched to another BIOS and the problem has gone.

Sorry its off-topic, but could you do me a massive favour and measure the thickness of the NF4 chipset HSF- if you look at the thread on watercooling the chipset you'll see why I'm asking ;)
