At this point, the release notes for BIOS version 1351 are not yet available, however you will be able to find them at the following website very soon:

Lol takes them longer to make a "readme" than it does the whole BIOS....
Notes are up so it seems. No big changes afaik.Quote:

Some report improved MCH cooling aids in FSB. I've already got a 120mm blowing over the sink of the MCH. Any other tips/trick to go that extra mile and reach 440FSB/4.4Ghz with my 6700ES ?
Replace the heatsink, or at least lap it. I lapped mine and epoxied (thermal epoxy of course) a 0.8mm copper plate to the base of the heatsink. This helps spreading the heat pretty good. ;) As a second measure, I fabricated a new heatsink. Took an old Pentium heatsink and cut out some fins, thus a second video card would still fit in the 4x slot. Then again I added the copper plate, et voilÃ:banana:.Quote:

Where the heck is it???
The BIOS has clear options for changing the mem timings and voltage but not the divider.
The reason I need this is because I specifically purchased good DDR2-533 memory with intention of taking it up to DDR2-667 (amazingly, its reported to run DDR2-667 at lower timings than most other 667-rated RAM).
Can someone give me a clue here?

finally I got it, I got it, I got it!!
hi, I'm planning to get a 6600 retail, this board and 2GB or Corsair TWINX 5400C4. I'm wondering what cooler should be ok for a small oc (not more than 3GHz) since i need this setup perfectly stable for gaming and I was thinking that a 1:1 with the ram is more than perfect for me. I can choose between zalman cnps9500 and AC freezer 7. I'd go with AC since the zalman is triple the price. for retail cpus do i still need to do the oc debug mod?
I've heard good things about the AC Freezer but I haven't used one. The Zalman, on the other hand, I am using and find it very quiet and it cools the CPU very well. My vote (if that is what we are doing) is for the CNPS9500. If you need cool and quiet, it's the HSF for you.
About the OC DEBUG mod, it kind of depends upon your CPU. If you get a typical CPU, you probably won't need to do the mod. My E6600 will OC to 3.0GHz without any Vcore changes (or any voltage changes, for that matter). At and above 3.2GHz will probably require the mod. Like I said, it depends on the CPU.
I got the Intel board for similar reasons to you, stability then OCing. I want a modest OC with ability for extreme OC yet be able to set a 24/7 OC and not worry about stability while I play a game or surf the net.
Good luck!
I'm using the AC Freezer 7 Pro and I kind of regret my purchase.
Installation was extremely confusing, even though it uses no backplate and merely uses the default heatsink holes.
During installation, one of the plastic fasteners broke, yet I managed to push it in anyway and it seems secure.
CoreTemp:
idle 41C
load 56-59C
I wouldn't buy that cooler again.
I don't see any dividers there, I only see memory frequencies.Quote:

Thing is that I'd used an IC7G-Max II Advance for 2-3 years, and it let you choose from a number of CPU:MEM divider ratio (ie, 4:5, 3:4, etc). You could set the memory speed to any number you wanted.
I got an E6600 and Intel D975XBX 1304
can anyone tel me how to keep the multiplexing technology setting from bios ??
enable or disable? with witch i have more performance?
enabled means dual core, disable means single coreQuote:

blacksun1942, u didn't say what cpu (also 6600?) and how much oc u did to get those temps with the AC. 59 seems too high...you could improve that with a good case and an air duct (in case u haven't got one) thanks
YES. He's right, that's what it means.Quote:

Hi guys,
stupid question but is there a way to disable that "press f4 configure raid setup" screen that always shows up during the boot process? I don't have a raid setup and kinda get sick of seeing it every time I boot up. thanks.

Many thanks for the images. I'm sure I'll have more questions when I start the mod and tinkering.
Cheers
I bios go to advaced/peripheral config.. and disable the secondary sata controller.Quote:
