@ Mascaras, what drivers are you using?
I just got this http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1888477
XFX 7900GT @ 590/1864 - 10,430
im using 84.20v2 EXtreme_G , instal them ;)
Btw: the drivers already come with coolbites :D
yeh ,you have more +- 200 points than me , its because you have a dual core thats normal , and you also have +5 Mhz in the core
are you also with stokcooler and stok bios ???
Yep 100% stock
You guys see low temps? I'm seeing like 41c idle and 54c when it comes to windows between 3dmark tests. Totally sick temps. My X850XTPE was like 43c idle... 74c load!
I got mine today also. Coolbits showed a higher temp then powerstrip. This card is much better then the 7800gtx I had.Quote:

You must have a nice cool room
I can't wait until my 7900GT meets Mr Swifty

I have a quick question for you guys
I currently have the XFX 550/1630 version
I'm thinking about 'downgrading' to the eVGA 500/1500 version because i need to RMA my XFX the fan is broken
do they all tend to clock to about the same levels?
yep
+130mhz on the memory for stock is a lot does anyone else agree
EDIT rather +310mhz on the memory stock
yep i ordered a aplhacool NVX3 too :D
Look my case :

just waiting for WC blok for 7900GT and im done :D
I have the FX 530/1500 and they seem to clock pretty good. If I were you reading how these do, the $30 difference isn't worth the risk.Quote:

ok thats what im thinking too
550/1630 is damned high for stock
i just though eVGA allowing you to replace cooler within warranty was pretty flippin fancy
but i guess ill hold out and hope NE gets some more in stock at some point...
the fan is sooo SOOOO loud and i have to sleep in teh same room as the computer i think i might have to turn it off each night or something
and it is the fan if i put my finger on it to slow it down as soon as i touch it it gets quieter
the EVGA of athles in the pic have diferent cloks in the aittool (585 core) and coolbites(595) , the cloks shouldn´t be the same ??? and the cloks are not aplyed in collbites , very strange
Like I'd spend $40 to get higher clocks. Resale should be better also.Quote:

xfx wont even send me a new cooler they claim to not have any (probably because they just have stickers that they put on top of nvidia coolers... there appear to be 2 stickers on my fan!)
but oooooh well
at least its just noise... at least i finally have my card!
why dont you just dont change the cooler like to a zalman ?? :D :D
1 - i just spent $350 i shouldnt have to deal with a busted fan
2 - i pulled the IHS off my 165, but i think id still be too scared to replace a vid card cooler, and i think theyd notice if it was removed because their :banana::banana::banana:ty stock stuff would be gone if i ever had to RMA
oh yeah i forgot to add
anyone seeing that maybe the card could go in further? like its IN and all, but the little U shaped cutouts that go over the pinless areas on the slot, im able to see through the hole where normally cards' U cutouts go right against the plastic of the slot.
i have a TT Tsunami and a DFI lanparty, ive never seen a 'problem' like this. its like if i removed the PCI plate, it might go in further, because thats whats holding it back.

not sure mate, i'm not at the right angles to see the holes you speak of. Just press hard and make sure it pops fully into place.
What kind of load temps are you guys seeing? I played CSS @ max everything for 30 minutes and minimized - drivers read 50c temps lol. And this stock cooler is the smallest thing i've had since the 9800 Pro. Amazingly cold cards!
