HeHe yes I find it funny too, and true, though theres a tosser called chainbolt (intel pimp) @ OCAU who would delete your post for saying that :slapass:Quote:

im about to give up on the expert board .. it just seems no matter what drive strength or whatever .. i just keep failing mem test no matter what .. stock is fine with all the auto settings .. but anything other then that and test 5 or 8 kills it
i know my ram can do at least 260-270 as it did on the sli-dr :stick:
Have you tried 2T (clock command disable)? I'm just curious.Quote:

So far I can do 261 2-2-2-5 1T with auto drive/data @3.4 something volts can't remember right now but I'll report once I get home. I am sure I can do more I am just easing my way in to this board.
not on this board .. my sli-dr ran at 1t .. 2x1gb sticks .. in orange slotsQuote:

OPB, can you ask Oscar which older NF4 SLI-DR bios that the new FX60test.bin bios is based on please? thanks . .
AFAIK, although it's on DFI's site, that particular bios isn't one of Oskar's....Quote:

Windows mode bench marks are. especially Prime 95 , super pi mod 1.4, and don't forget the most important windows version of memtest.

i havent tried prime yet .. windows version of memtest ?? all i hear people say memtest .. not windows memtest
any hints on some drive strgnth .. etc for crucial ballistix ?
can you check your voltage on the old DR board and the expert........i still think the other one was overvolting badlyQuote:

Ditto - I know the expert reads temps a little lower (~4-5C) than the old nf4 boards, but 35C loaded on an Opty150 @ 1.6? You sure your're not stating the idle temps as I see you're using air-cooling?Quote:

My opty 170 is running pretty damn cool too, only hit around 42°C on load (dual prime small fft's), with around 1.58V @ 2.7hhz.
....wow so cool that it doesn't even register lol......Quote:

its my pwmic temps that are like 54c ..
on my sli-dr my winnie at 1.6vcore @ 2.6 idled at 29c and loaded around 36-37c ..
when i had my xp120 which made horrible contact .. it idled at 38c and loaded into the 50c and that was at 2.5 ..
i wasnt able to overclock higher until i switched to the ninja
Hehehe...that's what I thought... :toast: But your temps are reasonable. 35C load is quite a claim on a cpu which some people have problems even getting stable on water ;) ......Quote:
