The little array of dots on the sticker on the bottom middle is a 2D barcode (the ones on stuff you buy at a store that they scan are 1D).

Try to find a P4GDL-X (or something like that). It's a stripped down version of this board (and slightly worse memorywise from what we can tell).
P4GD1s are gone, just about everywhere.
Yeah, p4gpl-x could do the trick too, even if p4gd1 is my first choice..
I think I saw german sites with the p4gpl-x available, but I just don't understand it.. If someone could help me, would be happy.
I still can't seem to find either one in Canada nor the US. There's some site (ngenx.org) that comes up with the P4PGPL-X when you froogle it, but I've never heard of them, and I can't find them on reselleratings.
This is getting frustrating :(
Neither board was really made for mass-production and I don't think ASUS really cares much about S478 much any more (gl finding a P4C800 at a half-way decent price) and just wants to move on to S479v2 (Yonah) and maintain their LGA775 dominance.
saaya bought the remaining world-wide stock of GD1s apparently....GPL-Xs never really got popular and I'd bet ASUS just stopped making them.
Heh, never really popular becuase they pretty much chose not to sell them to their intended market.
At this point I'm torn between trying to pick up a GPL-X, and just ditching the whole project and getting an X2.
the x2 is definately the better overall performer, the dothan is just good for gaming and bechmarking and for a silent/low power rig.
and vapor, as i said, there are appearently boards left in russia uklraine, but those countries are very corrupt and you would have to pay the customs guys like 60$ or so to make sure your boards doesnt get "lost"
