Got a 3700+ Sandy running very nice at low voltages until 2700 MHz. However, 2800 MHz needed 1.64V and temperatures were very high (~50°C). Cutting the HS off resulted in 2800 MHz @ 1.53V rockstable and only 38°C load. Maxed out without HS at 2950 MHz @ 1.66V. However, I have to admit that this one had a really worse mounted HS.
Anyway, X2's naturally generate more heat than single-cores so that's why they need better cooling. And removing HS will give massive improvement, I think.
