Awesome post! Good work with that overclock. Reading this post has somewhat helped me with the divider stuff. I'm still learning bout that. Right now I can get my ram at 245 FSB @ 3-2-2-0 @ 3V. I still have a lot more testing to do. I might be able to install windows xp tonight.Quote:

what is your cpu, 1.4+10% = 1.54 and I doubt a lot of venice are capable of hanging that at 3ghz
Seeing the same problem with a San Diego 3700+ at 272x10, 2.5-3-3-6. Gets 6100 buffered, when I should be getting well over 7k.Quote:

I think it's a bug in Everest, as my performance is excellent due to the 1 MB L2 cache: I estimate a +500-800 point increase in 3DMark2001 over a Winnie at same clock/ram timings.

If im in windows I bump up the vcore and start priming but then randomly it competely shuts off. :stick: have to throw the switch on the psu. To get it to power on again, I think its the psu, I got alot of fans and lights :rolleyes: :p:
I want to buy a venice tonight. Where should I order from newegg or monarch? I want to get a 3200 retail. I know it's cheaper at newegg but are the stepping better from monarch?
Nice, these LBBLE 0515/0516's APAW's seem pretty good. I know one came from retail 3200+ at monarch, the same for the rest of you guys?

I had an Winchester CBBID and now Venice 3000+ LBBLE 0516CPBW and they sucks for oc.
My Venice needs 1.525v to do 2.4GHz :(
I just **CAN'T** buy a bad CPU again.
I want 2.7~2.8GHz to use daily. Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu.
Xp-90 with tornado turned all the way down, the difference between this fan turned all the way down till it almost stalls and full tilt is like 2degree :S but it cools my ram nice. :D Neo is reporting bad temps my temp sensor says the max it hits is 33c
@higherøx mine did 2.8 on stock vcore.

Lol tried, it doesn't make enough of a diffrence, I can get 3ghz just not prime stable. I've booted at 3100mhz didnt try higher.

Yeah, I'm already planning on selling off the bugger, taking a slight loss, and buying a better stepping. Unfortunately, that'll have to wait until I finish my law school exams (end of first year, here I come) this week and then get married next week.

Any ideas on how to guarantee a given stepping? I live a few miles from Newegg's NJ warehouse, wonder if they'd let me take a look around? (I wouldn't count on it.)

LOL, Newegg is an office in CA, the warehouse, well it's probably the type of thing you'll see in the outskirts of Newark or Jersey city, some beatup old building with no windows. I doubt you can come over and say "hey can I look at your cpu's, amd specifically and out of the 3 thousand in stock I'd like to see the venice cpu's and i'd like to hand pick them. I don't think the staff is prepared for that kind of a direct inquiry, they probably deal with just numbers that point them in the direction of the product being sold through the CA office. The thought has probably crossed all our minds, but let us know how goes it if you do venture. :clap:Quote:

My computer can't prime at all.... This is the most "stable" I have gotten....Check the Vcore :eek: But I can do SuperPi 32M at 300x9 :rolleyes:
I think the messages you post in one of the venice threads are appearing in the other and viceversa Jomiy, this happened to me twice when I quoted a message in one thread but ultimately my message came out in the other.

My San Diego shuts down at anything over 240 FSB/HTT so do not feel bad bro. This is with 1.60 Volts! Needless to say I am pretty pissed off. I thought it was my power supply too (had an Aero Cool II+ 550W) so I got a new supply with dual 12V+ and it made no difference in how high I could overclock.
I am thinking its possibly my memory causing the problem (OCZ PC3500 GOLD Rev 3.0) but the more I think about it, I think the memory controller on this processor is a POS so I am going to order a Venice today and see if it does the same thing. If so, I will return the Venice and buy some new ram. If that doesn't fix it, only thing left is the MOBO which wouldn't surprise me b/c MSI is taking their time with a bios update..
