I don't know if this is where I should post it but I just found out that doing the ricky & pedro tweak will fu*k up the bw, it did for me, I didnt get more then 6151mb/s @ 2.6ghz 260FSB 2-2-2-5. I restored the old drivers and then I got 6729mb/s @ 2.4ghz 260FSB 2-2-2-5 :D
what is this tweak you are referring to?Quote:

Pedro is the friend of Ricky, if I'm not wrong they were the first to break 40k in 3d1 with their tweak with a FX53, there's a thread about that
It's the Multi ACPI tweak I mean.
use zalman fan bracket and 120x38mm fan over cards, my DFI temps for my 2x eVGA 6800U PCI-E with fan over top, is only 2-4C higher than on my spacious Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe :)Quote:

I've heard that lots of DFI supporters should look around this forum :)
So here goes...
3,5x HTT would be LOVELY - Since lots of the boards max'es out around 340FSB... Giving you 1020 in 3x - and in 4x 1360, which many CPU's dislike.... 3,5x would be perfect for squasing the last out of the CPU... Im currently running mine at 318x8,5 - If I shall run 4x - I have to go to 305FSB or such... :(
Best regards

do you have ram capable of 340mhz? If so, you bastard. If not, then it doesnt matter, as the highest 1:1 you can get, the better. Unless you're on a 3000+ with the 9x multi then you shouldnt really need to go above 305htt or whatever.. and as it is whats wrong with 340x3=1020 ? thats roughly what the freq is meant to be..
Well use 8,5 multiplier... My motherboard dislike 10x :(

1st Hi to all, great forums, good to be here!
Today i installed me Ultra-D (rev 02). Im using the 24 pin connector and 4 pin from PSU. GFX card is on PCI-E connector, in slot 1, jumpers set to single mode. GFX fan is ok.
When i start system the 4th diagnostic led (VGA) stays on. Some beeps and system turns off. Unfortunately i dont have another PCI-E card/mainboard to check if card is death, but tried an old PCI card and still same problem, so dont think its me GFX card.
Already tried: CMOS clear, connecting all 4 power connectors to board, 1 RAM dimm in every slot, RAM jumper on default and on 2+3, PCI card instead of PCI-E, but still a no go. I hope someone has an idea what the prob might be....
I have same problem with my RAM, when i use only one Mushkin LV2 TCCD, it boot. When i plug one more adata DDR500 in for dual channel, i have same problem like u. Look like NF4 doesnt love various RAM so much :(
Mixing different sticks is a pretty bad idea especially with a board known to be as picky as the DFI.Quote:

blowing air over both 6800 ultras. Reduced temps by 11C's per card.
Im using 2 dimms VX that ran fine together on me old board.
Hi does anyone know of a cputest of some kind that can be put on a floppy?
I can't get into windows anymore after feeding the cpu with 1.7 for some minutes.
there was suppose to be a cputest as well as memtest in the bios but it never surfaced.
Hmmm, sounds like you connected the PSU the wrong way. Email me and I'll get you an RMA going. Please mention teh issue, XS and your forum name.Quote:

Mrki, same thing happened to me yesterday when I was troubleshooting my system. Disconnected all powercables, took out one memory stick, resetted cmos, plugged power back in, waited 5 secs, pushed the on button. Thunder and lightning came out of my modstream 520w, and the mirrored surface it has got a bit darker with weird color on it o_O
I don't hope this is posted before, but I didn't want to read the entire thread again ;)
On my DFI I want to use a IDE HDD for benching, but I can't get it to work. After format and copying of the first files it reboots, which is normal, but after that I get the message: Error loading operating system. I thought it was the HDD so I tried another (80GB Maxtor) but I got the same message.
Hope someone can help me...
grab another pair of same ram and try maybe got a bad pair ?Quote:
