man... I'm soo happy that mine got here pretty much untouched. I already told that Reggie, but when I had mine delivered I even went outside and told an USPS delivery guy to wait for me to help him unload the package.
how difficult it it is to handle a package properly if it has "FRAGILE" stamped all over the package. I know USPS is now doing that - they ask questions before they receive the package... at least they do at my post office.

Just insure the package for like twice as much. soon they will have to strighten up or it will cost them a small fortune after a while :hehe:

I dont catch how they can sometime handle it so bad... It is not hard or slower to handle it the good side and instead of pitching it just drop it, like, you know what I meen..... Now I feel very unsecure because I shipped that chiller in 2 box taped togheter (although it was very solid, probably the word taped seems bad, but there is some carton supplying it and all.) and with just MINIMUM caution there shouldnt be any problem... But Reggie, I saw how you package all, and it is well packaged, and a 2/2 damage is just !!too!! bad....

unbelievable... just freekin' unbelievable.

I myself did got LiquidFrostbyte damaged and lost more then a few bucks because of that... Even with FedEx.... the best really is Canada Post, they never lost any of my packages, damaged something once (in like 200 things I shipped at least), and they paid bad in like only 3 days...

Sounds like to me, it was a drunk fork lift driver. As far as the horn, if it had a mercury contact that set it off when tilted more than 45° angle, it should work.
I know they have a small plastic device that staples to boxes, that looks like a small beeker (chemistry thingie) that when the box is tilted too far its releases a dye that changes the color of the liquid inside.

For the crushing aspect of it, unless you use those strong plastic crates, you would amlost have to weld together a small cage for it. I have seen this done way back when I worked in shipping and recieving. Customers where tired of getting there stuff all banged up, so they devise the cage method for extra security. And no, even these didn't prevent all mishaps.

Funny you should mention a small cage, Kunnaks cascade was shipped in a steel framwork with spring suspension and it appears to have arrived fine, but it adds 100 lbs to the shipping.

Don't think he wants people to come and pick them up. I asked and he said he would ship it. Think he wants to get it down right so he can get them all out ok without problems.

takes me 6-7 hours to down town Vegas. But o well.

could you build a crate out of 2x4's and ply wood wouldnt it be cheaper/ liter? then what you can to is put the whole thing in a palstic bag and fill the crate with srap foam so it expands arround it it will more then likely add about 50-60lbs more but it should be safe

If it was being handled by hand, that would work. If it's handled with a fork lift, it'll be tooth picks and peanut foam when they are done with it.

No, the fact is that if it is handled !AS THEY SHOULD! it wouldnt break....
