muzz, did you get better performance running single or dual channel on your 8RDA+? What dimm did you use, best mem timings? Thanks,

Definitely better scores running dual on my board.
I use slots 1+2 ( furthest and closest in relation to the cpu), with ram timings ( when I was testing pifast) of 5-2-2-2 I believe ( It can do lower, but it's fine for just putzin' around)..
I will get a better score than the 1 I posted here and at Kains site( which never made it there, as it went offline) now, but I am not foolish enough to think that with my cpu and cooling I can honestly compete with these guys.. but it is fun.:toast:

Nowt wrong with 58sec get it submitted :D
I'm holding off submitting a better score since I'm updating the tables that said its not gonna get near the top 3 :)
As Muzz says it is fun and it is also a good quick test for stability.
However, some people before have been getting very low scores with "average" systems .. when I say average no offence as that is similar to my spec, but average compared to the guys at the very top ( you all know who :) )
Here's a guy who ran it when I told him about it, he has a good XP2100 running 2300-2400MHz on nforce2 at about 210 FSB, so I'd assume a 60-64 second run or there abouts:-
Program : PiFast version 4.2, by Xavier Gourdon

Are we all running the same version here ??

Andy
thats v4.2 , you need 4.1 .... as you can guess, 4.1 is slower
If its what I saw the other day did he not say he had version 4.2
of pifast and just used the hexus batch file with it?
To maintain the standard I have kept with the orginal 4.1 version I have charted all the trusted results to compare against I have
more results than shown Table results ;)
Yes, I ran both and got :-
v 4.1
http://www.aocb77.dsl.pipex.com/pifast41.jpg
and with v 4.2
http://www.aocb77.dsl.pipex.com/pifast42.jpg
How are you going to split up the 41's from the 42's, say if someone gets a 61 second time apart from using intuition ? There is already confusion from new people trying it and thinking they have got a great score.
I think it is better if we all use 4.1 but for the moment I will put in my 4.2.
Regards
Andy
Good idea to stick with what was started with.Quote:

Btw PMM.. you should really have a section for motherboard!
People are putting it in their comments, but you should have a column for it. Make it prettier ;)
thats just me I was men't to combine it into comments I forgot
with the earlier ones but the latter ones I Included into comments.
Erm....... The whole point of using the Hexus Pifast is to download
the one supplied in the link not use the 4.2 from else where
But hay I could very easily change it to 4.2 and scrap the old
that way you all have to use the latest and then theres no
messing or cheating.
I can declare all given results so far as version 4.1 and switch.
I think we should leave it as it is, it allows people to compare to reviews of the latest hardware and IMO if people are sad enough to cheat, they will anyway.Quote:

I hope we would spot a rogue result that was submitted and ask for additional proof :)
Hehe, stratigically placed :)Quote:

ctgilles, cracking wallpaper bundle you have there :D :toast:
Back on topic, I've sumitted my result to the site, bringing up the rear in 19th place lol ;)
Hey Andy, just saw your new 3dmark01se score. Congratulations with that! And thanx for your remark about me in there :)
Well I shaved a bit off my best score. still lame in comparison to other folks, but hey. still working on it.
8RDA+/2600+/ 2x256 XMS3500c2 2.9 vdimm/VDD1.8
11x229fsb 5-2-2-2 timings 2520mhzhttp://home.attbi.com/~gpl08/57.09_p...-2_2520mhz.jpg
muzz, don't put yourself down. Anything under 60 seconds is nice!
ctgilles: Nice collection!
I'm cool with the score, my best was high 57's B4 tonight. so thats cool that I almost got to the high 56's........ I need better cooling.....gotta get the cpu down<15 degrees C... that was at about 28 deg. according to usdm, the sensors are low so that was prolly really about 38 degrees or so, which is killing my top end.
I'm happy with it..... FOR NOW!!!....
Thx Sys........ now go break that 56 barrier.....:toast:
Soon as I get distribution blocks and tubing, no prob!
I just went to the page..... I have the wrong score........ I don't know if I typed it wrong, or they did......... MATT can you fix my score so that it reads 57.09 instead of 57.03 ?
I just want it to be accurate..
If I mistyped it I apologize..... not trying to screw anyone.
Sorry muzz, it was my mistake
It's fixed now :)
NP M@tt, thanks.......I really didn't care who's mistake, either way it was inadvertant.... like I said I just wanted it to reflect the truth is all.
I'm like that:D
Thanks Again M@tt
My latest result:
http://www.solidhardware.com/macci/x...ex_pi_2950.gif
XP2100 week 4, temps -7C, 2.2V. Did about 2400MHz 1.92V +10C air and retail cooler.
8RDA+ w/ aircooled NB, 2x256MB HyperX 3500 3-2-2-2 settings.
Macci you own lol :) Just noticed your 7k score in 3d mark03 aswell, congrats :toast:
omfg macci... air cooled??!? i thought my 2.7 air cooled was sweet.. i gotta get one of those 2100+ and another stick of ram.
http://www.angelfire.com/droid/newb2k/2.7ghz_taco.jpg
hehhe no tace hell no its not aircooled :D
CPU core temp -7C under full load (=poorly installed dryice container :D). Didn't have much time to play w/ that yet but I'd say that it can do about the same speed w/ my R404 vapocooler.
