Not sure who said "big performance hit", but the fact is that performance is slightly better at 1:1. Not a lot. Just a little. But the results are repeatable.

You guys are basing your judgements on air and water cooled non-volt modded examples...
We've always known that 939/K8T800 will bring ONLY these things to the table:
1) More mature core revision than 940...............CHECK
2) Ability to run "normal" DDR.......................CHECK
3) Functioning PCI/AGP locks.........................CHECK
Noone ever said it was as significant as A64 vs. Athlon XP....
I ASSURE everyone that as soon as someone puts a fx53/a8v under ice and overvolts the Vdimm and Vcore....it will beat up on the FX53/940 which was already the world's fastest combo...
LOL...no kidding. I think there are those who are trying to convince themselves not to shell out for the fastest hardware out there.
